What pet parents say

Scott is a great asset in creating a strong, lasting bond and relationship with one's pet (important addition to the family). He has helped my little bundle of energy and curiosity, Rudy in many ways. He is so much more well behaved, and has shown a desire and interest in learning more. He has helped me as a pet "Dad" in my understanding of Rudy's behaviors as well as my efforts and mindset in creating sustainable desired behaviors and outcomes. Scott is very knowledgeable, patient, and his methods are effective. He works generously with both your pet and you. I highly recommend Dog Park Ready!

Two years ago I enlisted the help of Scott at Dog Park Ready to help me with my Australian Kelpie/Cattle Dog Mix, Olive. She was 2 years old and was in a home where another dog attacked her multiple times. Her humans unselfishly decided that Olive deserved a better home and put her up for adoption. When I took Olive she suffered from severe fear aggression towards other dogs. Scott got me on the right track with her rehabilitation. His program made a big difference in her behavior right away. Over the past two years I have faithfully practiced the training techniques Scott taught me. You wouldn't believe the difference in Olive now. She is a happy, healthy and thriving little dog. She has progressed to the point where she can enjoy private agility lessons, playing with other dogs in dog parks, going to doggie day care occasionally and long walks with her human. She is still a little leash reactive when she sees another dog but no longer fearful, just excited. She continues to improve and I am confident she will become more dog neutral on lead in time. Working with Scott, one on one, was so helpful for me and Olive. Give him a call.

Scott is amazing. easy breezy kind of guy to talk to, not a clock watcher, really laser focused on my dog and my concerns. rescue dog, got him 5 yrs ago and he was just about perfect and then, 2 or more years ago, he developed a resource guarding issue. 8 lb dog but watch out if you got near his bowl. he could seriously hurt you. this was becoming a twice a day battle and exhausting. tried 1 other trainer and she was completely off track. Scott got a great review on Next Door. he offers a 30 minute complimentary conversation by phone. we spoke a bit about Schatzi's problem. he suggested a 3 visit pkg and i couldn't get my credit card out fast enough. from our conversation, i knew i was in good hands. what was really great about Scott was it wasn't a 1 size fits all fix. he offers advice in between scheduled visits, either on the phone or text, if needed. i took advantage of that because i didn't want to be 'off track' on my part of the training. he tweaked the training when something wasn't working. the amount of time he gave me was amazing and he basically completely transformed my dog. feeding time is low stress now. Schatzi still is not 100% there but definitely more than manageable and the aggression and guarding is gone. this guy knows his stuff and Schatzi was putty in his hands. if you're ready to give up, don't, call Scott.

As first time dog owners to newly a newly adopted, 2 year old lab/beagle mix, we really wanted a trainer who was personal, knowledgeable, and professional. Scott was all of this! He taught both us just as much as he trained our pup. We constantly get compliments on Marleys behavior and recall at the dog park, and we always tell people its thanks to Scott’s training. If you’re looking for a trainer who will get to know you and your pup, work with Scott! He was fantastic, we recommend him to everyone who may need dog training

Scott is an amazing trainer. We took on a dog with severe leash reactivity and with Scott's help we were able to get our walk's under control and begin enjoying this time with our dog. If you are in need of a dog trainer I would highly recommend Scott. He is patient and willing to put in the work that needs to be done to accomplish your goals.
