I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kerry at Dog Adventures Northwest. “Middle School for Dogs” has quickly become one of my dog’s absolute favorite events of the week — and honestly, one of mine too!\nEach session is the perfect blend of learning, play, relaxation, and socialization, all within a thoughtfully structured and genuinely safe environment.\n\nWhat makes it truly exceptional is Kerry herself. Her skill and knowledge around dog behavior go far beyond standard training — she has an extraordinary ability to understand dogs’ thoughts and emotions by deeply attuning to their attachment systems, nonverbal cues, and subtle somatic expressions.\n\nOne of the most fascinating parts of watching a session is hearing Kerry narrate the dogs’ interactions play-by-play like a professional sports announcer. She breaks down the barely perceptible emotional shifts — what happened, when it happened, and why it led to a specific behavior — in a way that is both illuminating and awe-inspiring. It’s like gaining access to a whole hidden language happening right in front of you.\n\nI am truly in awe of her perception, insight, and deep compassion for the dogs in her care. There is such peace of mind knowing my dog is in such adept, loving, and knowledgeable hands. If you’re looking for a place where your dog will not only be cared for but truly understood, Dog Adventures Northwest is it!

Can't say enough good things about DANW!\nFirst, my pup Nayla started the Middle School program with Kerry and it's easily her favorite part of the week.\nMore recently, she stayed with one of the trainers, Ashlyn, for a Board & Learn and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.\nJust a couple of weeks before her stay, we found out that our sweet girl has hip dysplasia. Ashlyn took incredible care of her - she brought her to physical therapy appointments, kept up with all of her rehab exercises at home and truly made her feel like part of the family.\nEveryone at DANW is incredibly knowledgeable, professional and genuinely cares about the dogs they work with. I'm so grateful for everything they've done for Nayla and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for training or boarding.

My daughter found Dog Adventures Northwest when I was ill and could not care for my 13 month old puppy. He spent almost 6 weeks with Kerri and I can’t say enough good things about her training and boarding. They took him right into their family and loved him like their own. He was taken on all kinds of adventures from the coffee shop to the beach. He was offered all kinds of new experiences and as a result is an amazingly well-socialized puppy. No matter if I was at home or hospital, Kerri would bring him to see me whenever I asked. She took him for puppy check-ups and vaccinations. She drove across Portland to all of our locations without one complaint. He became use to car rides as well as park adventures. My puppy returned to me as a good tempered, very social teenager🙃. I don’t regret one penny of all my puppy and I gained. Sometimes you don’t realize what a gift you have been given until it is over.

Our pup is loving her outings with Simone!! She’s a rescue who was crated a lot in her first year and a half and we wanted her to have some good experiences socializing with other dogs and developing trust in people besides just us. Her confidence has grown amazingly in just a couple months! She is so excited to see Simone for her outing each week 💖 I love getting the reports and pics of the outings!

We have been using Mindy every Tuesday for about a year. I can hardly tell you how excited Cooper is every Tuesday morning. We actually think he knows when it’s Tuesday. She’s always on time, always concerned about safety and health of our dog, and is always fun to talk with. If we have concerns about Cooper, she will always offer ideas for the questions that we have.\nOur group of dogs were well curated by her. They are quite the pack! If she had the time, we would also use her dogsitting and occasional private training.\ndog Adventures NW has been an outstanding company. They are definitely busy which reflects how good their services is. When there are times when they can’t meet our need, they will give us a long list of other companies who may be able to. That shows great integrity. I looked at a couple of companies before hiring this one. I am very pleased with their services and Mindy in particular\nMindy also has taken some of our favorite pictures of Cooper
