Joseph is awesome! We knew we had a good dog, but he had no manners and was a bit difficult to deal with. The dog we got back is the same sweet boy, but he has manners and is much more relaxed and easy to deal with at home. I’d give him more stars if I could.

I cannot recommend Starr Dog Behavior enough! Joseph gave me excellent training tips for potty training my French Bulldog, and the results were nothing short of a miracle. Within just three days of following his advice, my pup was fully housebroken. Anyone who owns a Frenchie knows how stubborn they can be, so this was truly remarkable. Joseph’s approach was clear, practical, and easy to stick to, and it made the process stress-free for both me and my dog. I’m so grateful for his expertise and guidance—highly recommend him to anyone needing help with their dog’s behavior or training!

Absolutely thrilled from my time with Joseph. We did an in-house session, which was vital, as my dog had a terrible fear of the stairs and carrying up three flights was not going to cut it.\n\nSince my dog was a shelter dog, there was a need to center the understanding that he wasn't in charge and Jospeh approached that with expertise. While explaining the process to me the whole time. For those who have seen the Dog Whisperer, there were moments where it felt like that. My dog was unsure but after some time and trust building he was ready to go.\n\nThe main thing I learned as an owner is to keep cool and confident. While I definitely have a long way to go, it was nice to have someone explain and follow up with practice on my own to ensure I understood the basics.\n\nIn only 2 hours, my pup was able to climb up the stairs and I haven't been having any stair fear since.\n\nHighly recommend if you need a calm and collected trainer.

He definitely knows what he is doing! I used to watch Cesar the dog whisperer growing up, and so I could see a lot of similarities.\n\nEven after just the initial session, I was able to walk away with lots of instructions and knowledge that I’ve been implementing myself. This is not really stuff you can just get from the internet. It’s personalized - he did take time to try and get to know me and my dog.\n\nI’ve had friends and family comment on the positive changes they see in my dog so far. Even strangers on the sidewalk commenting about how good of a walker she is.\n\nAs with any dog trainer I’d assume, you do have to be willing and open to work on yourself. He is brutally honest, but in a good way.
