I love taking my doodle, Daisy May to Donovan at The Dodge Lodge and she always super excited to go there. She is an only 3 year old dog who totally enjoys playing with other dogs. I am retired so we are together 24/7. At least once a week I take her to Donovan and it renews her spirit to go be a dog for the day! Donovan is just the best. I am so glad I noticed his sign when I first moved to OB a couple of months ago! This is a wonderful place with a small pack of great pups!!! He also found me a wonderful groomer when I needed one!

Diego had the best time of his life 😄. He had so much fun, played a lot, and was very well taken care of. I felt at ease the whole time since they kept in touch with me, sending photos and videos. Everything went smoothly from the very beginning. The price was fair and reasonable for 3 nights and 4 days.\nThank you, The Dog Lodge and Donovan, for such a special place for our furry friends! We’ll definitely be back 🐾

I’m writing to let the public know about the unsafe conditions at the Dog Lodge. I’ve been sending my dog there for a year. At first all went well. I only send her there for day care, not boarding. A month ago, my dog was found wandering on Voltaire Street. She had crossed the street after escaping the Dog Lodge. I was called by several concerned citizens. My dog ran into the arms of a woman at a business. The woman called my member on the dog’s license. The owner never knew she had escaped. He assured me that he had remedied where he thought she may have dug her way out, under the fence in the alley. He assured me he would fix the problem. This weekend, as I was sailing on the bay, another group of citizens saw my dog running down Voltaire and crossing Sunset Cliffs They chased her to no avail. They did get her and looked on her collar, and called me. She escaped them again. Once again, the owner did not know my dog was missing. She has never dug or tried to run from me or her regular sitter. When I called Donovan, he did not know she was gone. He was extremely rude and said he didn’t know what to do or where to look for her. I came back after turning the crew around. A gentleman called me. He had Jazzy miles from the Dog Lodge, up the hill in Point Loma. We were reunited. PLEASE DO EXTENSIVE background, look for licensure and check the reviews. My dog miraculously is unhurt.

I take my puppy here every week and she LOVES it! I feel so at peace when she is over there, I know she is in great hands. They have optimized the entire property for the safety and well-being of the dogs. They are selective in the dogs they take, so they only have super sweet dogs that I know my puppy will be safe with! They are really responsive, understanding, and quick to reply. I will be using the dog lodge for a very long time!!! They send me so many pictures and videos throughout the day of my puppy having a blast, it is truly a heaven for all pups and owners alike!

The Dog Lodge is a fantastic choice. In my experience, my dog has been treated with love and safety during every visit. Additionally, The Dog Lodge provides unmatched flexibility, especially when a stay needs to be extended or pick up time changed. 5/5 stars.
