What an absolute nightmare. I took my cat here to get groomed for the 1st time and I got her home out of her carrier and she had blood all over her coat and her paw. The groomer 'accidentally' clipped her nail back too far he said.\n\nBefore she was washed he had me sign a waiver that stated their could be 'a chance' that light Knick's or cuts could happen but it's not a 'regular' thing\n\nI had the weirdest feeling signing that waiver because never in my life have I had a pet groomer make me sign a waiver for 'potential knicks & cuts' before\n\nI highly DO NOT RECOMMEND bringing your cat here. As a first time client, I am extremely upset, dissatisfied and upset for my fur baby and pray she doesn't get an infection in her paw from this\n\nHe claims he loves animals but to be so careless especially as a first time customer and experience, I won't be back and don't recommend you bringing your animals there either

Yikes, was hoping this spot so close to home would be perfect for my little Persian cat. He is used to being groomed so he’s very well behaved.\n\nPros: they did a great job deshedding and he is much softer now. He had a few tangles and they’re gone and his coat is softer for sure. I’m super allergic to him (but like still worth it look how cute he is), and I can already feel my allergies are less severe when holding him. The customer service was ok.\n\nNegatives: he smells worse than he did before I brought him in, his paws were not trimmed and don’t even seem like they got cleaned, his tear stains were entirely untouched. He had gotten too close to my pottery wheel yesterday and got some clay on his leg, which was still there after I picked him up.\n\nI can’t speak for how they do with dogs, but I know for sure I won’t be bringing my cat back in again.

TLDR: Look elsewhere\n\nFINAL UPDATE AFTER SEEING OWNER RESPONSE: the owner decided to lie in their response vs. resolving this issue with a modest refund. The refund was not issued because I would not delete the review upfront. My review is honest and my messages with the owner were nothing but respectful. No apology was ever received. Beware, the customer appears to be always wrong here.\n\nI was outside the business to pick up the dog with my wife. We didn't notice how bad the "trim" was until we were getting home as the dog was excited at pickup. It's disappointing to only rely on a customer's assessment there (and disregard messages/pictures) as the customer trusts a groomer to do their job and is busy trying to settle payment. We did not take up their offer to try to fix because the trim/shave was that bad and instead simply asked for a refund to drop the issue. There is a picture of the shave posted that the owner claims didn’t happen.\n\nFeedback provided by this business during pickup was that my dog was well behaved, but suddenly that has changed after this review. There was no comment about the butch job done or any issues they encountered. My dog is regularly groomed and I've never had feedback of behavioral issues which is interesting to say the least.\n\nI dislike where we've gotten on this back and forth but need to be transparent about the services provided here and what you can expect from the owner. Feedback for owner: apologize for rough service and refund in future to resolve disputes immediately instead of trying to argue about what happened. I will refrain from posting additional photos and review will remain as-is until a refund is a received.\n\nI should have listened to other reviews who have had similar experience and response from owner. Fortunately, another groomer did the best they could to fix mistakes here and the hair will grow back.\n\n—————\nUPDATE: the owner reached out and offered compensation to remove this review. No compensation has been received over a week later, will update if that changes. No apology has been received.\n\n—————\nORIGINAL REVIEW:\nTake your dog to any other groomer. I rarely write reviews but had to in this case.\n\nGrooming (“tidy up”) issue:\nThe trim is embarrassing and we will have to take our golden retriever to another groomer to fix. Half of his rear-end is shaved (why???) and looks ridiculous. There are razor marks around the paws, yet the paws were barely trimmed. We could have done a much better job in a few minutes with a simple pair of scissors at home.\n\nWe noticed all this after we got home and do not want to have this business attempt to fix because they've lost all trust and we do not want our dog to visit again. Reimbursement to offset the cost of the other groomer would be appropriate and I will update this review if that happens.\n\nCommunication issue:\nWe had an appointment at 10am and were told it would take 3 hours (that’s a long time for the service but expectation was set). We called at 2pm and were told our dog has been ready for pickup and they said they called and spoke to a man saying that. We don’t know who they called as my wife handled all aspects of the appointment. Mistakes like this create risk for your animal.

SECOND UPDATE: see below (on yelp) for how owner chooses to respond rather than make it right. She blames an animal for peeing herself out of fear and then gaslights ME into thinking she peed herself in MY bone dry carrier rather than PLACING a pee soaked cat from their kennel to my carrier without notifying me. Your employee told me she nicked herself, rather than tell the obvious truth that you suck at clipping nails and hit her nerve which is hard to do tbh. The conversation was dismissive at best and STARTED with her taking no accountability and no empathy on her part, just annoyance. My cat let me bathe her AFTER this ordeal and was perfectly relaxed with water and a loud hair dryer. Don't trust a word out of the owner's mouth, read the other one star reviews and see the similarities yourself... shameful. I will be taking whatever action I see necessary against this “business”\n\nUPDATE: Spoke with the owner who blamed MY cat for peeing on herself, and took no accountability for maiming my cat and basically said “I’m working late won’t be able to help today but I can look into it” This place needs to be shut down.\n\nORIGINAL REVIEW My cat is very meticulously clean and didn’t even need a bath but I wanted to pamper her. Tried this place out and should’ve known instantly from the smell and vibe of the place, it reeked of piss and the back room looked like a dungeon.\nThe front end guy didn’t even know I was coming which was another sign despite scheduling online. I left and came back and picked my Luna up.\nWe got home and she was limping due to a nail cut too short and bleeding, wouldn’t let me touch her and was acting traumatized which is complete opposite of her chill, easy going personality. Her bottom half was soaked still, it smelled like she was bathed in piss and her eyes were all gunky like she had been crying.\nI have never been so horrified by a service and I am not one to complain but please please PLEASE don’t bring your fur babies here, they are not safe and the price may be cheap but you get what you pay for.\nI ended up cleaning her myself and she’s already acting more normal, she was clearly horrified by whatever treatment they gave her and by the pungent smell of other animals’ piss.\nI tried resolving this but they never picked up the multiple times I called in. Will be disputing this transaction on my credit card. STAY AWAY, the other one star reviews are accurate. 😞

Best groomers ever ❤️\n\nGreat with our kids. Family owned and unbeatable prices in town LITERALLY\n\nThey are in San Diego, not El Cajon 😉 off 15 and El Cajon Blvd.\n\nKitties' lovers and parents: $12 for kitty nail trim All 4 🐾\n\nThe best groomers in town and cannot beat their pricing. They are so caring and loving to our fur babies. Linxy gets her nails done when Guero get bathed/groomed as well. The entire staff very knowledgeable and caring. YOU MUST GO TAKE YOUR FUR BABIES HER.
