Brought our two kitties with very different personalities in for their first post-adoption appointment, & Dr. Tran & the entire team were WONDERFUL. Never saw our little girl look so calm and brave in the hands of a stranger, & they made sure we had all questions answered and all the information we needed to keep them healthy.

This was my first appointment with my cat and I had a very positive experience! They are great with communication, and I felt prepared for my first appointment. Check in was easy and we were seen quickly. The vet tech was super friendly and took down all of my concerns. Dr. Tran was amazing. She listened to all of my concerns and taught me a lot. I left feeling much better. It was a tad of a commute and I was going to find a vet closer to Andersonville. Never mind, I found a vet! Thank you everyone!

If you love your dog, do not bring them here.\nThese people are incompetent. They only see dollar signs and do not care about your dog at all.\n\nExamples:\n\nWe have two dogs. For our first dog they told us she did not need to take heartworm preventatives until she reached 1 year. She has a lot of anxiety and the vet refused her care over 5 times even though the dog is not reactive to humans. When she finally got care (about 5 months later) she had heartworm, it costs us over 5k to cure her.\n\nSecond dog had a skin tag that looked like a pimple. We got it checked. The Dr. told us to not worry about it and told us that taking a sample to study was not necessary. We got a second opinion about 6 months later. Our dog has a malignant tumor that this incompetent doctor failed to diagnose.\n\nEvery single visit was more than $300 and the care was incompetent and resulted in negligence that costs us thousands of dollars and most importantly almost cost us our dogs.\n\nIf you are a responsible dog owner that cares about their pet’s health. DO NOT BRING THEM HERE. These people will overcharge you and will not provide adequate care. They are scammers and should be held legally liable for their breach of care.

After taking my cat to multiple different vets who had no idea what was happening to him, I couldn't be more glad to have been reccomend this place. When you go on their website or call, one of the things you will hear is that they treat your pet like family. Nothing could be more true about this place. I firmly believe that without taking my cat here to get diagnosed that he would not be as healthy as he is now, and his lifespan would be much shorter.\nIf you are a crazy, paranoid, over the top loving pet mom like me, this is the place for you and your animal. They will not only taking extremely great care of your companion, but they will take care of you and all your concerns. Not only are all the medical professionals incredible, but everyone working the front desk is as well. I will continue to take every animal in my life to this place as long as I live in Chicago, no matter where in Chicago I live. I'm fortunate enough to live only a few blocks away, but it is more than worth the travel to get your animal the care they need from this place. I will continue to recommend to all my fellow pet owners out there!

They were able to provide help while being mindful of cost. You get the best service here and you can tell they’re animal lovers. I’ve seen two docs here, and both were absolutely lovely and professional, along with the support staff. Gator is always able to make himself comfortable when visiting his friends at VCA.
