I’m new in town and so happy to have found our new groomer! I was a little nervous about how my dog’s haircut would turn out, but they quickly put me at ease. The staff was so kind and gentle with him, and I really appreciated that they called to confirm before trimming shorter than expected. That extra thoughtfulness means a lot. My pup came out looking just as cute (if not cuter!) than his last haircut 🤭. We’ll definitely be coming back!

It’s my third time coming to this groomer, And while the first two times were okay, taking over 3 hours but still okay, both times my dog came back with something. 1st time he got hookworms, second time an eye infection, but I didn’t connect the dots. This most recent time , not only did it take over 6 hours for god knows what reason , they also shaved him in the groin when I specially asked for just trimming, causing him to be red and irritated and lastly again he has an eye infection which I can now confirm has to come from them and their cleaning methods as the rest of the time my dog is always healthy and fine only when he comes back from them

I took my Bernedoodle to Paws and Effect for his very first grooming appointment, and to be honest, I was nervous. First-time groom, big fluffy puppy energy, and the emotional stability of a toddler after 3 Red Bulls? I didn’t know how he’d react but the check in staff was so patient and let me show them photos of how I wanted him to look!\n\nWhen I picked him up… I almost cried. He looked amazing. Soft, fluffy, perfectly trimmed—but still looking like him. No overly shaved doodle disaster here. He was happy, wagging, and not at all stressed out. They clearly knew how to work with his personality, not just his fur.\n\nI can’t recommend Paws and Effect enough. If you’ve got a doodle (or any dog, really) and want someone who actually cares about your pet’s experience and appearance—go see Kathy!\n\nFour stars only because his mowhawk was a bit uneven but that probably because Benny wouldn’t stay still with the clippers and his nails are a tad too long but maybe that’s just my preference.

Very easy process setting up grooming appointment. Staff helped me right away when I got there. They helped him feel comfortable with treats and pets. Quick bath and brush! He even got a little rose on his collar, so cute. I used to go to chain stores for his bathes but I’d much rather support a local business in Santa Monica! Already booked his next appointment :) would recommend trying out paws and effect.

Sundae is feeling herself! Paws & Effects is great. They know your dog’s name and make every effort to make them comfortable. My pup loves water and doesn’t mind being but it’s definitely not her favorite thing (brushing can be a chore). I can tell she’s excited to come here. I also really like the way they cut her coat, keeping her fluffy and bear-like while still exposing her eyes, ears, paws, etc. Her coat is always SUPER soft after her session here. Not all groomers know how to work with this coat and the staff will help place your pup with the right groomer. She’s a mini Bernadoodle w/wavy hair. Highly recommend.
