I have purchased treats for my dog here over the years and they are fine. My review is because of this business’s lack of regard to the neighborhood pedestrians. Their turf on the sidewalk squares in front of and next to their business are absolutely and atrociously left uncleaned. There is dog excrement on the sidewalk patches for weeks, an assault to multiple senses, and as their neighbor I’m sick of it. It’s one thing to not provide poop bags outside (which they USED to but stopped doing), so at the very least they could clean this up. At least what is left on their turf patches. It has set a disrespectful precedent. I mean, the 7-11 across the street is cleaner and easier to walk around and that’s saying something… Please be a community member and clean up outside of your business.

I chose K9 Loft after extensively looking through reviews of boarding facilities near me. There were no seriously negligent reviews that gave me pause, mostly people who don't know a thing about vet care calling eye goop an eye infection, etc. Mind you, I used to be a vet tech and am very easy going (which probably isn't most of K9 Loft's clientele).\n\nMy dog is deemed "no play," because she growled during her behavior test. She's dog selective, over-corrective, and shows barrier aggression, so that doesn't surprise me. But, that means that, when I board her, they take her out to a solo potty break every 2 hours, at no extra cost. She definitely prefers humans over dogs, so this is a plus. You can tell that she enjoys boarding more than staying home with me while I'm working because of all the attention she receives.\n\nThey don't require a bath after a boarding stretch, and the nightly cost is much less expensive than if I were to pay for a pet sitter to spend the night. They also offer pickup and drop-off services (within reasonable times) that cost $22 per trip into Hollywood.\n\nTheir daily "report card" is just as they describe it, a daily photo. No frills. I got a call when they noticed a scratch on my dog. They asked if it was there when I dropped her off (no), and said they would clean it up and then send me a photo via the report card system. I never received the photo or follow up, but I did pick her up the next evening, and there was no scratch. We knew she hadn't been in a scuffle with a dog since she has no group play. My guess is that she was scratching with her back leg and it caught one of her hemangiomas under her chin, which happens on occasion.\n\nSo, overall, I am satisfied, but the communication is not perfect. The review posted 3 months ago about the "scratch"-turned-puncture wound is concerning, without knowing the whole picture. When there has been a dog bite, since the staff is not vet trained, they really should take the dog to the vet the next business day. But we as owners can advocate for that, too. There is always a risk with group play, but the most important piece is that they were actively supervising and caught it immediately, something I noticed a different facility did not always do.

We booked our dog Charlie here for a week in 2023 during the summer. We booked a groom as well. When we arrived back after a week they had not done his grooming at all and we had to wait almost a whole extra day to pick him up and we were charged for it. I also left a sheepskin with him since they only provide a tiny blanket in a cement stall and they never returned that either. Not only would I never use this place again to board my dog, but I will just never ever board my dog again.

We took our dog here to get groomed. He is a Samoyed and their fur can’t be cut or trimmed so it’s awesome that he always comes out looking amazing. We absolutely love the affordable prices and that they require vaccination records before they groom your dog or board them.

Pricing is competitive with Amazon and their grooming services are top notch. Thank you always!
