Delightful staff and volunteers. They get new cats in all the time so consider that you may not find YOUR cat on the first visit. I came with my two young kids shortly after the death of our beloved senior cat. They loved meeting the kitties and practicing their feline social skills. We met many delightful cats, but none that really vibed with my toddler. On our second visit we fell in love with a sweet bonded pair of kittens. They've been home with us a week and I can't imagine a more perfect fit for us. Thank you PAWS for making our family whole again. We are so in love with our babies.

Volunteers were super helpful! They were so informative and the entire place was very clean. They knew a lot about the cat we adopted which was very helpful, and he was all up to date on vaccines and care. A great experience, I would highly recommend adopting a kitty here!

Staff is mostly volunteers so you can be confident that they are genuinely invested in the animals and in finding the perfect fuzzball for your home.\n\nI adopted my first ever kitty (Zyrtec, darling terror that he is) and they patiently walked us through the selection process, paperwork, and veterinary information. They made adoption a breeze and I couldn't be happier.

First and foremost, I love my baby; without visiting PAWs I would not have such a beautiful cat in my life, and for that, I am thankful. However, this is the only real positive I can extend to PAWs Cat City.\n\nTo be transparent, the adoption process was a mess— as other reviews have pointed out, there is an urgency to get cats out the door; while I can empathize with this, from my experience, the urgency to push the cats out the door comes with very little consideration for the cat, their health, and the adoption process in general.\n\nThe volunteer my partner and I met with was very excitable when we initially struck up a conversation with them, they were warm and encouraged us to interact with their cats. However, whenever we started to ask questions regarding health, and express genuine concern over the logistics of taking home a cat on the spot without prepping our home space, we were met with the response "well, it's not like you're bringing home a baby!" This response caught me off guard. Afterwards, the volunteer started acting colder, and tried to upsell us various items in the shop. This is not ideal, to me, this felt very transactional.\n\nWe took a moment to step away and discuss, our next interaction with this volunteer felt very demeaning; they kept making comments about how "we're so lucky because we could've lost him" whenever we came back to put a hold on our boy. Regardless, we put a hold in, picked up our boy the next day, and tried to walk through the health paperwork, etc. One thing we noticed was our boy was not tested for FIV, there was very little disclosure regarding this, so little it honestly didn't cross my mind until the vet visit I scheduled post-adoption revealed he, did in fact, have FIV. Coinvent. Regardless, I would still have adopted him, but I think the heads up is vital to give future cat owners; there's a lot to consider, and lot that people should know— atleast give a print out or something.\n\nI can tell the people who work here have good hearts, I don't want to come across highly critical, I'm sure their need to push cats out is more of a PAWS issue than an issue on those who volunteer, but I would highly recommend looking for other spaces to adopt from.
