About a month ago, my ferret got really sick and wasn't getting any better, so I took him to the vet. Due to my financial constraints, I couldn't really afford it. The vet managed to give him some medicine, and we brought him home. A couple of days passed, and he was still not getting better; if anything, he got worse. I tried calling organizations that could help me, but sadly, I was turned down. I called over 30 in Florida, and no one helped. I was growing desperate. I closed my eyes and said a quick prayer. Then, I asked AI Gemini on my phone if there was an actual organization that helps ferrets, and the only one that popped up was this organization. When I called, Matt answered, and I was touched by his kindness. He didn't hesitate to help. Thanks to his help, I was able to take Bandit to the hospital, and they were able to treat him. Sadly, they couldn't really diagnose him, and after his 10-day treatment, the vet ordered us to stop the treatment. The very next day, he passed away. I like to think that we tried everything we could to help him, but sadly, his illness took him from us. My three young children were watching, and with our example, we can help them be better humans. Matt, Lee, and the wonderful donors are proof that there is still kindness on Earth. I hope to one day visit Colorado and meet these wonderful people. I would also like to let all the donors and people who help know that their money is actually being spent on these beautiful, voiceless creatures. There is a beautiful verse in the Bible ; Proverbs 12:10: "The righteous one takes care of his domestic animals,* but even the mercy of the wicked is cruel." Very wise words. Thank you so much for everything. I took from this experience that if you are able to help do it and that's just what Matt and Lee did. We love and miss Bandit❤️
