Be warned of this place. I left my dog there for boarding for four days and he came back with either a bite or scrape to both the left side of his face and his left front leg. The wound on his face was obvious and it STUNK. Making me think it had occurred earlier during his stay and no one bothered to treat it or check him. He even had a bath on his last day there and you're telling me not even the groomer noticed it? I'll update the review if I hear from their team. Extremely concerned that they possibly noticed my dog was wounded and didn't bother to notify me, or equally worse, are incompetent enough to not notice. Having to take my dog to the vet after a $400+ stay. The girls up front are always nice but I question who they have back there monitoring when the dogs play. They also underfed my dog despite clear and simple feeding instructions (e.g. 1 and a half cups of dry food twice a day). He came back with almost HALF of his food unused even though I packed the exact amount he would need for his stay. They also did a terrible job with his bath, which has occurred before. Every time he comes back with his paws and underside fully wet. They also forgot to put his collar back on, so now I have the pleasure of having to drive back to their location tomorrow to pick it up. Mind you, I had to call them to let them know they forgot his collar because they themselves didn't notice. So, to summarize: dog was injured during his stay at Barking Hound Village, no one notified me or checked on him; terrible job giving him a bath and was picked up wet despite they claiming he was ready for pick up; they underfed him. they forgot to give me his collar back. First pic is how I received him. Second is how he normally looks.

This is NOT the place if you’re looking for a reliable, predictable daycare experience. I had an incident last month that caused me to be extremely late to work, miss a meeting, and be put in an unsafe and stressful situation. I waited nearly 40 minutes just to hand my dog over to the front desk, with a line out the door and no parking available due to how inefficient the check-in process is. At one point, we were all standing outside with our dogs while an intoxicated man approached was cursing and harassing people, literally getting in their faces. This is not the first time I dealt with something like this here. There is no sense of urgency from staff despite the chaos, ever. The explanation given was that they are understaffed — but there has been little to no visible effort to fix that. And frankly, that’s not an acceptable excuse when customers are paying a premium for care. If they are understaffed at the front, it raises real concerns about the level of care the dogs are receiving behind the scenes. I’ve been to many dog daycares and have never experienced anything close to this. It should not take five minutes per dog just to check in — it’s the most inefficient process I’ve ever seen. The only reason this location seems busy is because of where it’s located — not because of the quality of service. I ultimately requested a full refund for my package, which I was told would be processed, but it never was. Dog owners deserve better. As a small business owner myself, this is exactly the kind of experience I would never want associated with my brand. Very disappointing.

We absolutely LOVE this place!!! My dog, Nellie June, has been coming here since they first opened, but sometimes my wife and I would alternate daycares depending on our schedules and I'd take her to one closer to my work in Inman Park.... until last week. When I was dropping her off at the other daycare, she started cowering in fear and pulling toward the front door. Barking Hound is is now getting our *full* business because Nellie has only ever LOVED it there. The staff is welcoming, kind, patient, and friendly (these things really do matter); and it's clear that they love working with animals. They are always equally as happy to see Nellie as she is to see them, and that's what every pet owner cares about!

We’ve been taking our dog Brady to Barking Hound a few days a week for about a year now and have had such a great experience. The staff is incredibly kind and you can genuinely tell they love all of the dogs equally. It never feels like they play favorites, which we really appreciate. They are also very communicative and always call if there is ever an issue or concern. We especially love the daily pictures they send because it is obvious Brady is having the best time. One of the biggest reasons we trust them so much is that Brady has never had any injuries here (not even a scratch), which unfortunately was not our experience at Spot for Dogs. After a really awful experience there, finding a daycare where we feel completely comfortable leaving him has meant a lot to us. Could not recommend Barking Hound more if you want a daycare that is caring, attentive, and genuinely puts the dogs first.

Buttercup is always happy when she goes to play with her friends at Barking Hound VillageO4W. The personnel is friendly, caring and always ready to greet her with a good attitude. I feel good knowing she's safe and well taken care of during her daily or overnight stays.
