Meghan is a wonderful trainer! I am a first time dog owner, my pup is a strong pitty mix, 3-4 years old and a rescue. I had no idea what June bug may struggle with when I first got her and I had no idea where to begin. I am so grateful I knew to come to Meghan. Meghan has given us such useful insight and advice. They have totally transformed the way I view my dog’s behavior and how to work through certain behaviors with her! The way they explain dog behavior and the simple suggestions they give made it so easy for me to understand as someone who has a rudimentary understanding of dog training! The training feels very simple and intuitive, yet has totally changed the way I handle stressful situations with June bug. We’ve been taking classes and the way the skills are ordered and build upon one another are so thoughtful and wise, yet I never would have begun with some of these skills. June bug is doing so well on walks, is so much more calm when she sees other dogs, and has disengaged with my kitty who she was VERY fixated on! Because of Meghan, I can feel more confident that I’m meeting junie’s needs and thus enabling our training success! She is improving with her obedience and recall in every way and it’s all thanks to Meghan! I am so glad I immediately brought my pup to Meghan and I can’t recommend dog flower enough!!

We’ve been working with Meaghan, of Dog Flower, on and off since our dog, Ari, was a lil puppy. That was six years ago! We first brought Ari to a puppy preschool class taught by Meaghan [different dog training facility in North Portland]\nDuring the years since then, Ari has had both in-home and outdoor private training lessons , as well as training walks, and doggie playdate training sessions with Meaghan.\nMeaghan even used to bring Ari on hiking adventures with a couple of other pups she’d be compatible with.\nAri has always struggled making friends with other dogs. She’s a bit dog selective with a sprinkling of fear defensiveness. Mae always knows the best dogs to team her up with. Ari’s confidence has grown so much over the years working with Meaghan.\nDog Flower 🌺 offers so many options for training, socializing, and engaging your dog. We’re presently signed up the “at home day training” service. Meaghan visits Ari at home and takes her out for a neighborhood training adventure. I receive a report card detailing what they worked on together by the end of the day. And a very cute instagram post.\nAri absolutely loves Meaghan and is always so happy after their visits.\nI highly recommend Meaghan @ Dog Flower to anyone who is looking for professional training, care , behavioral support, insight and guidance for their dog. From puppies to elders. Meaghan has a true gift 🌟🌟🌟

Meaghan is amazing!! We are so grateful her!! We rescued a 5 month old puppy that had no training, socialization or exposure to new things (environments, people, etc). Since working with Meaghan at Dog Flower, we have seen our little pup bloom into more confidence and shine with her new skills. Meaghan’s style of teaching works! She’s so good at adjusting to each individual dog’s needs in class and is so very creative with different approaches to achieve the common goal. Her husband has even volunteered to help with our pup’s goals to adjust to new people. I honestly can’t say enough about Meaghan!! She has made such a difference in our lives and has taught us so much to help our pup be happy and successful! She truly cares about the people and dogs she’s working with - she’s always thinking about ideas to help us and our pup. We’ve completed puppy kindergarten, individual at home and at the studio training, training at sniff spots, and are in the intermediate class now. Best time and money I’ve spent in a long time!

As a giant breed dog owner, I know firsthand how critical it is to have a strong training foundation that begins at puppyhood. Mae has worked with 4 of my Mastiffs over the years both through classes, socialization groups and private training, and has transformed them from shy, nervous puppies into confident, well-adjusted adults that thrive both at home and in public. They are a confident, personable and extremely knowledgeable trainer who has years of experience with every size and breed of dog you can think of. What I like most about dogflower is Mae’s ability to communicate complex ideas (behavior, science behind things) in a way that is easy for anyone to understand. No matter the issue, Mae has always been there ready to help! Would 100% recommend.

My husband and I got an extremely brave and energetic cattle dog puppy almost 2 months ago. She’s my first puppy ever in my life and, there’s no way that I would’ve been able to handle it without Meghan the lovely owner of this facility. When we walked through her doors for the first time, we were feeling like we’d bit off more than we could chew now we’re feeling confident, learning new things every day, and tackling how tricky it is to own a puppy, all of those things we wouldn’t have been able to do without her. Meghan is an incredible dog trainer! What I love about her is how she can meet each person where they’re at and explain what she’s doing and why so that myself, an unexperienced dog owner, understands. Shes endlessly joyful and patient, the facility is adorable and always clean and there’s always things to use and borrow if you forgot your own and I really appreciate that.\nWe’ve attended puppy socials, adolescent, socials, and kindergarten at dog flower and I’d give every experience a 10 out of 10.
