Our newly rescued blind pug, Obi was nervous about his nails (black nail quick hard to see!) being trimmed. He was met with patience, kindness, and they were able to successfully trim his nails beautifully, and calmly. Thank you! Super friendly staff who puts your dogs wellbeing first. They don’t try to up sell you, or convince you of membership but meet you with your furry companions needs. I appreciated this. Also, everything is fairly priced.

I am so happy I came here. First, the staff is fabulous. They truly care about your furbabies. Their services are professional, quick and efficient. I have always dreaded nail clipping and grooming time because one of my dogs was traumatized at another place (not Scenthound) and it has been a stressful experience for myself and my dog ever since. I am so happy Roscoe and I do not have to dread that any longer.\nGet the membership. It is well worth it. Wonderful place and wonderful people.

Zeus was a Scenthound Pup for about 6 months and while he didn’t sound like he loved it when no one was paying him any attention because of his anxiety, he will constantly whine in a kennel, he really did love going there and getting bathed.\n\nWe always get complements on how soft and clean he is when we’re out and about. He’s my service dog, so that’s quite a bit. He goes every 2 weeks and was a premium member so we had unlimited baths. It was a little spend for my budget, but really worth the $35.00 average to keep me from straining my back, shoulder and hands. Especially in the winter months since I like to bathe him outside where I don’t have to reach over a bath tub when the weather is warmer. Unfortunately we’re moving to a state where there is no Scenthound….YET! Hopefully they will franchise out and go National. We love their services and their products.\n\nTwo things I really loved about their subscription plan is that they offer discounts on their products, but best of all, and I did use it in the middle of the night, is that you have access to a 24 hour vet 7 days a week. One night Zeus was sprayed by a skunk in our own, fenced in, backyard around 1am. I had no idea how to treat the horrible stench, but he has a lot of white hair and I wasn’t about to try tomato sauce or juice in fear that it would not even work and then he would possibly just have stained fire for a while. Anyway, I was directed a whole different direction… peroxide, baking soda and dawn dish soap. It worked so well! I couldn’t get his muzzle too well because I didn’t want to get it in his eyes or for him to lick it so he still had a bit of a sulfur like smell for about a month if you got really close, but ultimately that months membership was more than worth it!!\n\nWe, Zeus and I, hate to leave and cancel our membership but will definitely go to them when we come back to the area. They always seem to be able to get us in within a reasonable time if we need an unscheduled bath.\n\nWe absolutely recommend Scenthound services and especially getting a monthly package that fits your needs.

We just moved to the Portland area and stumbled upon this business by accident. We got a great feel about the place initially and our instincts served us well! We had our little Staffordshire Bull terrier Bonbon get the initial grooming package which worked out great. She was shampooed, ears cleaned (very well because they were cropped). The main reason to come here for us was the nail trimming. We were informed of her overall health by appearance, weight, condition of her teeth and skin. We went ahead and purchased a package where she would have these things done on a monthly basis. She came home happy and looking great, nice and shiny. The main thing was she was calm and collected, not stressed or traumatized. That’s important to us. Overall we would highly recommend Scenthound (we went to the Cedar Mills location) for all your grooming needs. A well cared for pup is a happy pup 🐶 🐾

I had a great experience at Scenthound Portland Cedar Mill. The staff was friendly, professional, and made my pet feel comfortable throughout the visit. The facility was clean and well-maintained, and the grooming was completed with great attention to detail. My dog came home looking clean, fresh, and happy, and the entire process was quick and easy. I'd definitely return for future grooming and routine care.
