We’ve had a good experience at Pet Bar until today. When I went to pick up my dog, she was not there. They gave my sweet dog to another lady. I am not sure how this happens…and how you can go home with someone else’s dog? There is a major lack of controls here. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to Pet Bar.

Lino has taken care of our standard poodle puppy since we first got her. She loves him and is always so excited to go to Petbar. She also stays smelling nice for a long time after her appointments. The people who work here love dogs and are kind. Thank you Petbar and Lino!

I brought my golden retriever in for grooming and a deodorizing treatment after he got into something outside - and to the staff’s credit, he came home looking and smelling great. The actual grooming work was solid.\n\nThe drop off was not good. When I arrived, I was surprised to find that the default here is to keep dogs together. I’d assumed my dog would be separated from unfamiliar dogs that have a range of personalities. My dog is sweet but anxious so I had to specifically ask that my dog be kept away from the other dogs present.\n\nHe was visibly anxious at drop off and resisting going to the back, so I asked to walk with him to help settle him. That’s when I found out their accommodation for dogs who need separation is a windowless break room that looked more like a closet.\n\nIf your dog needs to be kept separate from unfamiliar dogs, know that a proper individual kennel doesn’t seem to be an option here. For an already anxious dog, that’s a tough environment to leave them in. Great grooming results, but I’d call ahead to make sure the setup actually works for your dog before booking.

I’m really disappointed with the experience I had here. I dropped off my Pomeranian at 11 AM, as scheduled and didn’t find out until we returned at 1:10 PM that he hadn’t even been bathed yet. That’s over two hours of just waiting in a crate or who knows where. Only after we arrived were we informed it would take four hours, that should’ve been communicated when we booked or at drop-off because at other petbar location it would only take 1 hour.\nWhen we kindly told them not to rush because we didn’t want the cut to be compromised, they reassured us but the result says otherwise. His haircut came out very uneven, with random long and short patches, especially around the neck. It looks messy and rushed, which is exactly what we were trying to avoid.\nTo make things worse, the groomer told us he couldn’t do what we asked because our dog “looks mixed with Chihuahua” not Pomeranian something that felt dismissive and unprofessional. He is a Pomeranian, and even if he weren’t, a good groomer should still be able to work with the coat type and give a clean, even cut. We trusted this place with our pet and expected a much higher level of communication and care. Will not be taking him here ever again.

Waiting to take a messy Mini Australian Shepherd in for a groom in the next week, but wanted to say thank you for the very professional owners that kindly reached out to address questions I had. It is clear that they value customer service and love dogs with great tips for an anxious pup.
