I cannot recommend SDDT enough! From day one, Daniel and Tori treated our dog, Stella, like a member of their own family. They are incredibly intuitive; they recognized early signs of anxiety in Stella and reached out immediately to help. They actually brought her in before her scheduled start date just to ensure our home remained a safe environment for our two young children.\nThe level of care didn't stop at the facility. Daniel even came to our home for a site check to make sure we were set up for success. They are extremely communicative and always available to answer a call or text whenever we have follow-up questions. If you want trainers who truly care about your dog’s well-being and your family’s peace of mind, SDDT is the place to go!

We fostered Daisy before we adopted her and she showed signs of past trauma and was fearful of everything. Walks were difficult and she hid most of the day. After her time with SD dog training she really opened up and being able to give her commands so she listens was truly 180 degrees. I am thankful for finding Daniel and Tori. I would recommend them 100% if you’ve got a pup or a dog that needs reinforcement training.\n\nWhen we brought Daisy home they provided us a cheat sheet to help us reinforce the training she learned. It really made a difference as we work daily on the commands with our dog.\n\nWe had an initial consultation and they both explained what to expect from the hand off to after two weeks of training/boarding. They gave me the price for their service and I shopped around I found them to be competitive with others but worth it with the results we got with our pup.Thank you SD dog training for helping us get the happy go lucky puppy we wanted and now have. Daisy is happier and we are too!\n\nSincerely, the Harris Family

We’ve had a really good experience with Tori and Daniel. We have a 9 month old field golden who was giving us a run for our money in our house with 2 young boys. They have worked with us and continue to support us as Melon grows. He learned a lot of commands while he did his board and train and they worked so hard to help his demand barking and biting and now he gets to come back for doggy daycare while we’re at work. Tori and Daniel follow up on what they taught him and are so approachable with any question I have (first time dog owner) They have encouraged us to reach out with any questions we have and even came to our house (no charge) so they could help train melon while in our two (7 and 8 year old) boys chaos.\n\nI’m really glad we reached out to them and so glad Melon has such a loving couple to support his growth. It’s clear Melon respects and loves them and he loves spending time with their doggos too.\n\nWould highly recommend— especially if you need someone to boost your confidence and show you what your dog really needs.

Daniel and Tori are amazing! I highly recommend them if you want your dog to listen to commands and behave better overall. We had a trainer who came to our house for sessions and that didn’t work. This is way different. We lost two of our three dogs over about a year and a half span. We adopted our Terrier/Jack/Corgi mix about a year ago and he is the sweetest dog in the world he just had crazy pup energy and we had a hard time getting him to respond to commands. We could get him to do a basic few but overall he wasn’t responding. He was never angry or aggressive, mainly just anxiety. He didn’t know how to interact with other dogs or humans. Daniel and Tori returned him after 2 weeks of board training and it is like night and day. He walks at my pace and isn’t pulling or stopping to sniff everything. He stops at corners on command and waits for the go. I let him in the door with our friend’s daughter down the hall and he didn’t bark at her and run up in her space like he did before. Nugget sits, lays down and stays on command etc. It’s amazing! We have to continue the training to keep him on track so it becomes clockwork but they also provided a laminated cheat sheet! I highly, highly recommend Daniel and Tori!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

If I could give Daniel and Tori 10 stars, I would.\n\nOur Aussiedoodle, Oakley, struggled with a lot of behavioral issues driven by anxiety. She pulled constantly on the leash, jumped on people and counters, barked at other dogs, and was extremely reactive. We had tried a number of different approaches on our own, but nothing seemed to make a lasting difference.\n\nAfter reading all of the amazing reviews, we scheduled a consultation, and from the very beginning, we knew we had found the right people. Daniel’s energy is unmatched. He’s incredibly positive, communicates exceptionally well, and sets very clear expectations from day one. He took the time to answer every question we had, and by the time we dropped Oakley off, we felt completely confident that she was in the best hands.\n\nThe transformation was honestly incredible.\n\nThe moment we picked her up, we could see the difference right away. She was calmer, more confident, more attentive, and so much more under control. When we got home and started practicing the commands ourselves, she responded better than she ever had before. Which was great because that was a concern we had - whether the training would transfer back to our home. It did.\n\nWhat impressed us even more was how much Daniel genuinely cares about the dogs he works with. Before pickup, Oakley had developed some mats close to her skin that were making grooming difficult. Instead of simply pointing it out or leaving it for us to handle, Daniel spent FOUR HOURS carefully grooming her himself. He isn’t a professional groomer, and that wasn’t part of what we paid for, but he went above and beyond simply because he wanted to make sure Oakley was comfortable and set up for success. He did an incredible job, and that level of care says everything about the kind of person and trainer he is.\n\nThroughout the entire experience, Daniel and Tori made us feel like family. They’re friendly, trustworthy, responsive, and genuinely invested in helping both the dogs and their owners succeed long term. One of the things we appreciated most is that the relationship doesn’t end when you pick your dog up. They’ve made it clear that we’re always welcome to reach out with questions, ask for guidance, or come back if we ever need additional help. That kind of ongoing support gives us a lot of confidence that these results are built to last.\n\nWe couldn’t be happier with our experience, and I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for dog training. They exceeded every expectation we had, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything they did for Oakley.
