What pet parents say

We cannot recommend Tim and McKayla enough! From the very beginning, they treated us like family and genuinely cared about not only Rufus, but us as owners as well. Their dedication, patience, and expertise completely transformed Rufus’s behavior.\n\nBefore training, Rufus struggled with reactivity, and it often felt overwhelming. Thanks to Tim and McKayla’s guidance, we now have the tools and confidence to manage his behavior. His discipline, focus, and overall obedience have improved beyond what we thought was possible. Walks are enjoyable again, and we finally feel like we’re in control instead of constantly reacting to situations.\n\nWhat sets them apart is how invested they are in every dog’s success. They don’t just train your dog, they teach you how to build a stronger relationship with your dog, and they’re always there to answer questions and provide support. It’s clear they truly care about every family they work with.\n\nIf you’re looking for trainers who are knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely committed to helping your dog succeed, Tim and McKayla are the best. We are incredibly grateful for everything they’ve done for Rufus and our family. Thank you for giving us a happier, more confident dog and making such a positive impact on our lives!

Tim is a great trainer! We went in with our 1.5 yr old frenchie who was aggressive towards other dogs, pulled like crazy on walks and was not socialized well. We got her at 6 mos old and she got along with our boxer who is well behaved and trained. We tried everything with her, treats, repetitive training, an app for training, nothing was working. We went to Tim and I was apprehensive because the program used a tens collar, but after Tim explained that we have to match her energy and that the collar is a temporary training aid to help associate our voice commands with attention (collar) it clicked for her. (And us) she did very well during the 1x1 sessions with Tim which I highly recommend as she needed to be submerged in the training and it would have taken much longer if he just trained us to train her. We needed both. After 4 weeks, she was doing just about everything we asked the first command. There was something we needed extra focus on as she was darting out our side gate, after we had worked with her, and Tim addressed it even more in our last session which totally helped. And then the group classes on saturdays to help her learn how to properly socialize with people and their dogs are seriously priceless and continues to be able to have a working session led by Tim to reinforce everything we’ve learned. Worth every penny! His post lesson instructions and transition training time is well thought out and very helpful. We are now working on reinforcing his teachings and then will start to phase out the collar as the program is built.

We had an incredible learning experience at Sit Means Sit. Our dog Dipper learned so much and seemed to pick things up quickly thanks to Tim’s leadership and his clear guidance for us as we practiced our training lessons at home. Tim worked with us to establish routine and help guide us to hit our goals for Dipper. Although it’s only been a few weeks since we started the program, we feel like we’ve already come so far and our home experience with Dipper has changed for the better. We’re fortunate to have Tim in our corner and can’t recommend Sit Means Sit enough!

Tim was fantastic from start to finish. I have a very sweet but very stubborn and energetic Husky, German Sheppard, Golden Retriever mix. I did the four week program for my girl and I can honestly say Frankie is so much better! She’s only 6 months old so I know it’ll require more work/consistency at home, but one of the things I loved about this program is that I got some training too! I wasn’t sure what I needed to be teaching her, but now I know I have the right tools to make her a very well trained and happy pup. Thank you Tim & team! Highly recommend.

We’ve had a great experience with Sit Means Sit Dog Training! Our 1-year-old dog was struggling with reactive behavior around other dogs and needed help with leash walking.\n\nThe one-on-one training sessions gave us a strong foundation and taught us clear, effective commands that actually work. Tim was patient, knowledgeable, and really took the time to understand our dog and our goals.\n\nNow that we’ve moved into group lessons, it’s been amazing to see everything come together in real-world situations. Our dog is so much calmer on walks, and his behavior continues to improve with each session.\n\nWe feel more confident as owners, and our dog is happier too. Highly recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone looking for real, lasting results!
