Dream A Dream Dachshunds

We had such an amazing experience with Dream A Dream.\n\nMy fiancé and I spent a lot of time searching for a reputable mini dachshund breeder. There are many out there who claim to be; however, the puppies do not share the same quality, good health, and beauty of Dream A Dream.\n\nWe met our baby Coco (formerly Jenna) and knew she was the one. The Dream A Dream team was incredibly accommodating since we needed an extra week to take her home. They made sure we were set up for success after taking Coco home. After we got her home, they were easy to contact and worked quickly with our vet to update health.\n\nMini dachshunds are a commitment but Coco has been such a joy in our little family. Thank you Dream A Dream!

The purchasing experience itself was great. I got my dachshund in 2020, right in the middle of Covid, so the closest I could get to meeting him beforehand was through FaceTime—which was completely fine. My boy cost $3,000 at the time, which was still a lot, but he’s been worth every penny. We were even featured in the Wall Street Journal because the company I work for has a program that helps support employees in expanding their families with dogs and cats.\n\nWhat’s disappointing is what’s happened since. I’ve checked their website multiple times over the years, and the prices have just kept climbing. Seeing dachshunds now listed around $10k (don’t forget tax) is honestly outrageous. Even their adoption fees are around $1,500, which feels excessive. It really seems like their business model has shifted more toward profit than anything else.\n\nThe only reason I’m leaving a review now, after all these years, is so people understand that their dogs were NEVER this pricey before. When I bought mine, I was offered additional papers to put him in shows for an extra cost. So if you’re looking for show dogs or breeding, make sure that’s actually included in the price you’re paying.\n\nI’m only giving 3 stars because of how much things have changed. If you’re looking for dachshunds, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. I used to be proud to say I got my dog from Dream a Dream, but now I just advise people to look in a different direction.

Wanted to thank you all so much for raising such an amazing dog Mr. Milo. he has acclimated to our home very well, he's a bright mind easily learning our habits, and our walks, and many tricks. Thank you so much for retiring him and allowing us to give him his forever home. The support from start to finish was amazing.\n\nthank you, Allie, for all the help.\n\nWe lost our 17.5-year-old dachshund, and he's helped us tremendously thank you to sherry and the team!
