Vaughn had been grooming my Doodle Aja since he was 6 months old ( now 19 months) and believe me I tried doing this myself , not anymore, I love it at Pets on Cole they saved us.

I booked an appointment through the website and brought my dog in as scheduled. My dog is a goldendoodle and weighs 23 kgs (around 40 lbs), so he’s a medium-sized dog—not unusually large.\n\nThe groomer trimmed a small patch around his neck (without bathing him first). Shortly after I left, I received a message saying she could not continue because he was “too stressed,” pulling too much, and had come off the table. I returned to pick him up and was advised to take him to a professional facility where two people could groom him.\n\nI completely understand that safety is important and that some dogs can become anxious during grooming. If at any point the groomer felt unsafe, I respect the decision to stop. This is something a grooming business should be prepared to handle.\n\nHowever, managing anxious or medium-sized dogs is generally part of running a grooming business, or at the very least, any limitations should be clearly communicated beforehand.\n\nIt would have been helpful to know in advance if there are size or handling limitations. If medium or larger dogs cannot be accommodated — or if additional assistance is required — this should be clearly mentioned on the website before clients book appointments.\n\nI appreciate the honesty about not wanting to proceed if it felt unsafe, but the situation was inconvenient and left my dog only partially groomed. The experience was disappointing and inconvenient and also wasted my time.\n\nI would have appreciated clearer communication about limitations upfront. Transparent information about the types of dogs you are able to accommodate — including size, temperament, or staffing requirements — would help set proper expectations and prevent situations like this from happening in the future.
