Zero stars if I could...I am writing to let you know that I rescued my dog from the San Francisco SPCA. He had health issues when we adopted him. His breed was not fully disclosed. Which is extremely important for health issues. He was also neutered at 2 months which is known to cause hip dysplasia and even cancer. Basically this dog was set up for failure by the San Francisco SPCA.\n\nNow I'm in the financial bind because he is unable to put weight on his back left leg. I brought him into the San Francisco SPCA yesterday and we were turned away because we do not have money. The ASPCA and SPCA have plenty of donations and for them to turn a injured dog away because the owner is having a financial crisis at this time is very disappointing and disgusting because I thought you all Care for animals.\n\nAs a matter of fact Mr. Bershadker of the ASPCA MAKES OVER A MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR.\n\nI do understand that the SPCA in San Francisco may be privately owned but that's still doesn't take away from the fact that you all couldn't help an injured dog. For a dog to be turned away when it's injured by a place that I actually rescued him from is unbelievable. I am trying everything to get my dog some help and unfortunately I'm not having any luck. It also would have been very nice to let me know what breed the dog is and that there can be major health issues from neutering him too soon. Once again you set this dog up for failure. I love him so much and want to do anything I can to help him. The SPCA should feel the same way when it comes to an animal that's in need and should be ashamed of themselves for turning us away yesterday.
