Cat Care of Vinings

We adopted a cat from Cobb County Animal Shelter who showed mild cold symptoms, which we understood could happen in a shelter environment. We were given medication and sent home. Two days later, our cat began sneezing large amounts of blood — enough to splatter throughout our home. I called immediately and was told to run a steamy shower to relieve his nasal passages. It has now been over a week, two follow-up visits later, and we still do not have a clear or consistent explanation of what is going on. The medication has not worked. On Friday, we were told he could be boarded to help bring him back to health. Now that position has changed because it “could be viral.” The constant shift in direction is concerning and frustrating. Pricing has been just as unclear. I repeatedly asked for an estimate before scheduling a nasal scope and was not given one. Only after continuing to press for a number was I told it would be “in the $800 range.” At no point was clear, upfront pricing provided. There are also many other options available to diagnose the issue without pricing available. The staff as well is not receptive to feedback. Negative or positive. They will call you unprofessional.

I have been going to cat care of vinings for 5 years with my medically complex kitty and they are the absolute best people and team. Understanding, patient, and they KNOW and love cats! The stress i experienced getting a vet to understand or know how to help us has no longer been apart of my life since finding cat care of vinings.

The staff at Cat Care of Vining were all extremely nice! Marie (which is also my cat's name) checked me in and she was thorough in explaining the boarding process with my cat. Dr. Gomez followed up with me regarding the exam and was also very thorough with going over everything that Marie needed and what was needed in getting Marie's weight back on track. I will definitely be going back.

An amazing first experience for everyone. The fact that we were able to go into the vet(wait less than 5 minutes) and not have dogs or other animals around made Winter way more comfortable. The staff was amazing and the doctor was awesome! They are truly cat people and exactly what you want with cats.

I love this vet! They really focus on each cat’s individual needs and create a calm, comfortable environment. Highly recommend!
