Jordan and Virginia are amazing! They are so good with my dog Olive, she always leaves looking so happy and clean. They really care about the animals they’re working with and are so communicative. I couldn’t recommend them more!

Long overdue post. Long read. TLDR: avoid if you don’t want predatory pricing and botched grooming.\n\nNo attention to detail and every excuse in the book! Sneaky pricing and lazy grooming. Gave this place a second chance after a bad nail trimming experience because of all the positive reviews. Had a nice meet and greet with Jordyn prior to the grooming but she botched the haircut and gave lots of excuses.\n\nMy partner was the one who picked up our dog and hadn’t been aware of the price on the website. He paid over $100 after a 15% discount and tip when the website said it’s $80 for medium dogs 11-35 lb. My dog was 30 lb at the time. Jordyn’s excuse was that my dog was on the larger side and had lots of hair so was more work. Of course he had lots of hair that’s why we went to a groomer!!\n\nNothing about price or hair length or anything else was mentioned during the meet and greet which is odd because apparently the pricing is confusing for lots of other customers according to Jordyn when I texted her about it after.\n\nJordyn said she couldn’t really see out of her goggles due to an eye issue which begs the question, why are you grooming dogs when you can’t see?? She gave him a poofy poodle shaped head and said well he’s a doodle! He’s a mini Goldendoodle and a poofy head is not what we discussed and not how he looked prior. She also forgot to trim a lot of hair in the back of his head so now he basically has a mullet.\n\nShe shaved off his eyebrows and most of his face hair so he looked goofy and sad with sunken eyes. We had showed her pictures of what we did and did NOT want and it’s like everything went in one ear and out the other.\n\nNails were left partially trimmed with pieces hanging off and we had to take him back to get that fixed. She also had to trim more of his “mustache” because he looked like a schnauzer and we specifically didn’t want that look. He looked nothing like the 2 pictures we showed her and looked more like the picture of what we didn’t want. Zero attention to detail!\n\nShe also trimmed his weiner hair so now he pees on his front legs because there’s no “wick” to bend the stream down to the ground so it shoots out straight like a water gun (he still squats since he’s a puppy). This wasn’t an issue prior to the grooming. As a groomer I feel like you should know not to cut that or at least ask first!! Won’t be returning and honestly don’t understand all the positive reviews.

My doodle puppy has been to VIP grooming twice already now and she always comes home not only looking great, but very clearly not emotionally stressed which is extremely important to me. They treat all the pups well so that both the humans and animals leave happy. I live between here and the bay area and when we're in San Diego my pups will go to no other groomer - they're the only ones I trust! Highly recommend!

It was my first time bringing my mini schnauzer to this groomer. I specifically chose this grooming salon because of all of the good reviews but I am actually very disappointed in this groom. It was sloppy, uneven and I asked them to do a breed cut and they chopped off my schnauzer’s beautiful beard!! There were still pieces of dirt left in his beard and it didn’t even look like they cut his back nails.. on closer inspection I noticed that they left a bald spot around his eye and what looked like dried blood on his back leg 😭😭 Due to my previous experience of grooming they could have done a lot better and I will not be bringing him back. Everyone seemed very nice but it was not the quality I expected! I posted what he looked like before and after. This is my own perspective from my own experience working with dogs and while I respect all groomers I also value honesty.

Very good experience with VIP grooming. My Mini Goldendoodle felt very clean and looking beautiful after his appointment. I'm very happy with the result! I will for sure be coming back.
