Highly recommend this establishment. The staff is very welcoming. The place is clean and nicely decorated. We went in for my dogs evaluation and I appreciate the fact that Hounds Town takes those steps prior to acceptance of pets. That tells me they care about all of the pets safety. Also they gift 🎁 every applicants pet, a free daycare day. That makes it easier for me to leave my dog overnight I feel my dog has a chance to familiarize herself with the place before staying overnight. I feel more at ease that way. You can probably tell this is my first time boarding my dog. I will write a review on that too. Hounds Town is open 7 days a week. 6:30 am to 7pm Sunday closes at 1pm.

I boarded my dog here for four nights (4/23–4/27). During his stay, he developed diarrhea, but I was never contacted or informed about it.\n\nWhen I picked him up, his rear was extremely dirty, with what appeared to be more than a day’s worth of dried feces stuck to his fur and inner thighs. This was very concerning and not something I would expect from a boarding facility. Since coming home, his condition has worsened and I’ve had to schedule a vet appointment.\n\nI understand that digestive issues like diarrhea can sometimes happen when boarding. At a minimum, I would expect timely communication and basic hygiene in this situation. However, I’m very disappointed that I wasn’t notified about his condition during his stay and that he was returned to me in that state. I do not feel comfortable boarding my dog here again, and I hope the facility improves its communication and overall standard of care for animals.

Hounds Town has been such a great addition for our dog, Robbie. We chose Hounds Town because we liked the option to try one day of daycare, free of cost. Both the daily rates and the package rates were very reasonable, which also drew us in. We also love that there is a private Facebook page with photos and videos posted daily.\n\nI am a first time dog owner. My husband and I took Robbie in after one of our friends passed away. There were some behavioral problems at first, including separation anxiety. Robbie was very loud when we were gone and would even destroy toys and our belongings. We were given a very tough ultimatum by the people we live with: Fix it or get rid of her. We tried training, supplements, and read many webpages/watched so many YouTube Videos, but nothing worked. My husband and I then decided to find a doggy daycare. Hounds Town has helped her behavior tremendously. She does so well around the other dogs (big and small) and isn’t scared to be away from mom and dad anymore. Her separation anxiety has improved, as well.\n\nTo Hounds Town: THANK YOU. Not only have you helped our Robbie grow and socialize, but we were able to keep her and keep loving her. We will be forever grateful for what you do for our companions.

I visited Hounds Town to hopefully get my 7 month old pup approved after a required evaluation for an upcoming vacation and left there very dissatisfied. When my boyfriend and I filled out the questionnaire online it asked if she was neutered or spayed. We indicated that she wasnt and drove 30 minutes from Surprise to Avondale to find out they wouldnt even be able to take her unless she was fixed. I told the front desk that I wish they would have called us to let us know or perhaps their questionnaire should have red flagged us with a prompt to notify potential customers of this while they're filling it out so we didnt have to waste our time and gas for a 1 minute evaluation to see if she would play well with another dog that was already in house. Her response was, "Well it's on our "About Us" page. I get that but we solely chose this place based on customer reviews which got us excited to even apply. Now we're back to square one.

Signed up for an evaluation, drove almost 40 min to get there just to be told that my dog had to be spayed to stay there. They let me fill out all my forms and everything just to turn me away saying my dog was passed the age. They could have called and said something to me about it, and I wouldn’t have wasted over an hour of my time. When asked if the website says anything we were told “ it’s in the about us section” even though I put in her age TWICE. And still no call or anything. Very unprofessional experience.
