What pet parents say

I brought my dog to this groomers, and I requested a bath, a nail trim, and the hair on the pad of his feet to be shaved. When my boyfriend came to pick the dog up, he paid and left a tip. When the dog came home, I looked him over, and I noticed his nails were not trimmed and the hair on the pads of his feet were not shaved. Those were the two main reasons why I wanted to pay to have my dog taken to the groomers. Otherwise, he's just a short-haired bulldog mix that really only requires the bath, which I could do by myself at home. The feet are why I scheduled the appointment. Well, I called the groomers back and spoke to the reception. I explained the situation, and she said a manager would call me back. A manager never called me back. I waited two days. I called again, spoke to another receptionist. She told me the same thing: she would leave a message, and a manager would call me back. I proceeded to wait another four days, and never heard from anybody. I called back, and the third receptionist told me the same thing: she would have a manager call me back. Finally, a manager called my boyfriend back, and he simply said that he could reimburse us $5 from our appointment, which I think is entirely unfair because the appointment itself was $85 plus the $15 tip that my boyfriend left. The dog only got a bath, which, again, he is a short-haired bulldog mix. Nothing else was completed because they said the dog was being difficult with his feet, which is completely understandable. If the dog’s not happy, then let's figure out a situation like calling the owners up, and maybe I could come in and help with the service, or you give a partial discount since the full service was not completed. I'm very disappointed with this experience. I think it's very unfair, and I will no longer be doing business there.

This place is great!! My dog is almost 18 years old and she has never liked getting her nails done. I took my dog to Art of pet grooming as a walk in, and they helped us right away. I was lucky enough to be helped by Patti, she did great job. She was very patient and kind. It's by far the best my dog has ever been when having her nails cut. I will be back for my next service. They also have excellent pricing.

Bad experience. Please do not take your dogs here.\n\nLook at how they gave me my dog back. His eye was bloody and very red. I called my vet, and they told me it could have been caused by someone being too aggressive with him or from extreme stress.\n\nMy dog is a 15-lb Shih Tzu and he is very calm. I don’t understand why anyone would need to be aggressive with him.\n\nIt took me a long time to write this review because at first I thought maybe it was normal after grooming. But after meeting other dog parents at the dog park, they started talking about this same grooming place and said they also had bad experiences.\n\nThey told me they wished they had seen reviews like this before taking their precious dogs there, so I’m sharing my experience in hopes that it helps other pet owners be aware.

I am extremely disappointed with the grooming service my dog received. My dog is still shaking his ears and is currently completing a steroid prescribed after this visit.\n\nRuben, who I understand to be the owner, responded with condescending sympathy and immediately placed blame on me rather than taking accountability. At no point was I contacted to confirm or approve such a drastic haircut. My dog has never had his tail fully shaved, and no one contacted me to discuss or approve this decision.\n\nFor context, I have included a photo from when I first adopted my dog, at which time he was severely matted. Even then, my groomer took her time and handled his coat properly without resorting to shaving him this low. Since that time, he has never been shaved down this drastically. I also provided a photo showing him previously shaved down where his tail was still intact, further demonstrating that this level of shaving was unnecessary.\n\nI regret not taking the longer drive to my usual groomer, who has always communicated with me at every step—even notifying me of minor nicks that I would not have otherwise noticed. That level of transparency and care was completely absent here.\n\nMy dog’s nails were clipped so short that one bled, and I was never notified. His genitals were visibly inflamed, which I believe resulted from clipper burns—not matting. If my dog had truly been as severely matted as claimed, there would have been widespread injury, not isolated nicks to an area that does not grow significant hair.\n\nAdditionally, my dog’s ears were extremely red following the grooming. He would not allow me or the veterinarian to properly examine them, raising serious concerns about what occurred during the grooming process. He continues to irritate his ears to this day.\n\nThe lack of communication, lack of accountability, and apparent decision to take the easiest route rather than exercise proper care was unacceptable. Quite frankly, the outcome reflects a level of work I could have done myself at home with clippers, which is not what I paid for or trusted a professional to provide.\n\nThis experience was distressing for both me and my dog, and it will be the last time I use or recommend this grooming service. The picture with my dog in the shirt on the rug was the day before dropping him off at groomers I have also included picture of when I first adopted him as you can see extreme difference and never has he been shaved so low or experience these issues. I hope my dog stops shaking his ears soon after he completes his steroid. Smh truly regret this experience. Also waiver states they will let you know of anything big or small they did not and I truly believe they hide behind a waiver never have I had to sign one before. Smh

First time here. The groomer explained what they could and couldn't do since our dogs had some matted fur. Staff were professional and informative.
