We don’t trust many people with Brownie, so choosing a daycare was a big deal for us. What stood out immediately with Throw Me A Bone wasn’t just how kind they were, but how careful they were. They didn’t just take our money and put him in a room. They took the time to really evaluate him, his personality, his energy, and whether the environment was actually a good fit for him. That meant a lot. It told us they care just as much about the dogs as the owners do. From that first interaction on, we felt comfortable and confident leaving Brownie there. He’s happy when he goes, relaxed when he comes home, and we never have that uneasy feeling you get when something doesn’t sit right.\nTrust is everything, and Throw Me A Bone earned ours.

We started bringing our 4 month old puppy here for daycare and have been very impressed so far!! She was a little anxious to warm up but the staff works great with her and helps her work through it! We get lots of updates and photos throughout the day. You can tell they really care about each dog! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a reliable daycare!

My pet dog, Leo, went to day care at the 52nd street location and had a blast! The staff was very communicative and sent me photo updates of Leo making friends, enjoying an outdoor walk, and napping. He can’t wait to be back!

We moved our dog here after a great year at Pupculture on 57th Street — zero issues there. We decided to try Throw Me a Bone simply because it’s closer to home. About a month in, they contacted us saying our dog showed “dominance behavior” and “resource guarding,” which came as a surprise given his spotless history at his previous daycare.\n\nShortly after, they sent us a training price list and told us our dog couldn’t return until we signed up for their training program. It felt less like genuine behavioral concern and more like a sales tactic.\n\nAlso worth noting — the facility is in the basement of an apartment building. It’s very small, windowless, and feels quite suffocating compared to other daycares we’ve seen.

Best dog daycare in NYC.\n\n- Dogs are in an indoor open area all day, with at least one person in the room at all times.\n\n- Dogs are walked. (Which I think is included)\n\n- Crates on premises to be used during feeding times when necessary or needed.\n\n- Took the time to chat about my dog before dropping her for an evaluation and ask if she has allergies to any treats they like to give out.\n\n- Gives updates throughout the day on their app include photos and notes.\n\n- Live cameras on their app so you can watch your dog.\n\nI go out of my way to drop my dog off here when I’m in the city for work and need a place for her to spend the day.
