I have been to this shelter many times to volunteer and this is the absolute best shelter I have ever seen! The facilities for the pets are incredible, the staff are extremely knowledgeable and super friendly, and the animals in their care are amazingly taken care of! I highly recommend stopping by to meet the wonderful crew running the facility and all the adorable fur babies they look after.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 — A Truly Heartwarming Experience!\n\nPAWS Shelter in Kyle, TX is an absolute gem in our community! From the moment I walked through the doors, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine care. The staff here are nothing short of amazing — compassionate, knowledgeable, and clearly dedicated to the well-being of every animal in their care.\n\nEach pet I met was loved, well cared for, and ready to find their forever home. You can tell the animals here are not just “shelter pets” — they are part of a family until they find one of their own. The facility is clean, organized, and full of happy tails and wagging hearts.\n\nWhether you’re looking to adopt, volunteer, or just visit, PAWS is a place that truly makes a difference. I can’t say enough great things about the people and the precious animals here. Thank you, PAWS, for all the love and hard work you pour into every life that walks (or wags) through your doors!

Initially, I was so worried about bringing home a new dog, as I have cats and a kid, but the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The kennel techs really take the time to get to know the animals in their care. They were very patient and helped me identify the perfect pup for my family. We're so happy with our Reina ♡♡♡

Great shelter/rescue doing the Lord’s work. I’ve had an excellent experience fostering kittens. The staff is responsive and readily takes care of any medical needs, no matter how busy they are. PAWS does a great service for this community. I trapped a feral kitten in my work parking lot and they took him into their adoption program. It’s not every rescue that will agree to take in a stubborn, still not-quite-socialized older kitten and give an amazing effort to find him a home.

Recently adopted a kitten from PAWS and I am obsessed with her, but I noticed the day I brought her home she has a bump on her belly I looked closer and I believe it may be a hernia. I called PAWS to ask them about this because it was not in her health history and was basically told because you signed the paperwork she is no longer our responsibility which yes I agree with but also this is obviously something that she had in the shelter, I’m disappointed that they were so dismissive with me.
