It's a Dog's World

They don’t actually teach groomers how to style dogs and do breed specific hair cuts. Just the basic kennel cut with a teddy bear head. They just teach the very basics. If your looking for more advanced grooming education this is not the place.

All the staff at It's A Dog's World is wonderful! Our dog, Sadie is old and needs lots of TLC, and they take such great care of her. We drive 35 minutes and surely pass many groomers, but It's A Dog's World is well-worth the drive! Highly, highly recommend them!

Abuse. I witnessed ABUSE to a dog. To the owner of a little hairy dog by the name of Venus or Phoenix, your dog was getting abused. After years of bringing my dog here, they just lost my business. It is our responsibility as humans to be kind to animals. Well, they don’t care for that here. The Lego had its feet planted, but instead of the groomer being kind and gentle, she grabbed the dog by its chin hair and DRAGGED the dog to her. Again, instead of being understanding and gentle, she would aggressively pull on the dogs ears to get it to where she wanted to cut its hair. I said to the lady at the desk that if the groomer is having a bad day or is at the end of her patience, she should take a break and collect herself again before continuing since she’s clearly taking out her aggression on the poor dog. That I’ve been standing g there watching her and seeing what she’s doing. Of course the groomer started denying and the desk lady became defensive. I then pointed at the cameras and said “ there are camera and there’s no need to become defensive”. She said that the groomer has the right to defend herself. Wild to try to defend someone who’s been witnessed abusing a dog. Absolutely disgusting. Do not bring your animals here. They’re clearly okay with the thought of hurting an animal just to groom it. And if you don’t have the patience, understand, compassion and kindness to attend to an animal’s needs without yanking and dragging it aggressively by its ears and hair, then that’s the wrong profession for you.

Honestly the best dog groomer in the valley. My dog, Ruth, is a rescue and has very high anxiety so i know she can be difficult. I tried several groomers from the west valley to the east, but so thankful I found It’s A Dogs World. They do such a great job with her, and their prices are so affordable. Love this place, will always bring Ruth back for grooming!
