My husband and I took our two mini golden doodles (1.5 & 6 years old) to Annie’s as it was a recommendation from a friend on services and price. We completely understand our younger female can be hyper and our older female is much calmer, but is shy around other dogs. The first time we had a fairly good experience and the girl’s haircuts turned out great. When we picked up them up she did say our little one can be high energy. My only complaint about our first experience is it took 5 hours… I understand they might not have more than one groomer or maybe not more than two, however, I have never dropped my girls off at a groomers and it taken 5 hours.\nOur second visit, while we were thankful it only took 3 hours, we were disappointed when our puppy got an ear infection the next day from ear plucking…\nThe third and what will be our final time, I dropped my girls off at 1:30PM. She did tell me she was quite busy and that’s fair, but I hadn’t heard anything by 6PM and sent a text (that is how they choose to communicate) at 6:03PM checking in. By 6:12PM I had not heard back so I called and she said she needed another 30 minutes. I picked up my girls at 6:45PM… that is over 5 hours spent at the groomers. If she was that busy I would have rather her contacted me and asked to reschedule. 5 hours is, in my opinion, way too long for them to be at the groomers. And it messed up my entire evening.\nAlso, when I was picking them up she said “I forgot to look at your notes and I used the razor on your younger one”. We have specifically asked for no ear plucking and no razor used on the bridge of the nose or belly as my dogs have gotten razor burn/rash. Forgetting to look at the notes on our requests is unacceptable. When I got home I noticed my puppy has razor brush/rash on the bridge of her nose.\nI truly dislike the amount of dogs roaming around the space. They have had anywhere from 3-6 dogs at a time roaming around in the back. I am not sure if the dogs that roam around are near the grooming table(s) but if they are I can see why my younger doodle is hyper. She thinks it’s playtime.\nAll in all, I just can’t see myself going back. I want to support this local small business but not at the cost of my girls ♥️
