When I first called this place to ask if they could groom my dog almost two years ago, I explained that he had behavioral issues and could be reactive at times. They accepted to groom him and for two years I didn’t have any issues ever. I’ve paid significantly more than the usual price because I know he has behavioral issues and thought it was reasonable and fair.\n\nToday he was scheduled for a grooming with a new groomer named Carrie. She called me about an hour after I left him to let me know he was ready, which I thought was odd because they usually take longer to groom him. She gave me a ton of attitude and said I needed to sedate him next time and that I would be charged $90 because his ears were matted and he pooped while in his cage and had to be rewashed. She complained about how he wouldn’t let his legs be trimmed and I told her that that was the amount I usually paid but that her comments were strange because the groomers have never told me something like this before or asked me to sedate him. She said she was a dog trainer and that he needed to be sedated.\n\nWhen I arrived, she took him out of the kennel and he had a huge bald spot on the top of his head. I asked her what happened and she got defensive and said that it was his fault because he wouldn’t stop moving. I explained that I never had any issues with them before and was surprised that we were having issues now. She said it shouldn’t be a surprise because he was a troubled dog and that he was the issue. I told her that if they can’t handle dogs with behavioral issues then they shouldn’t have accepted to groom him.\n\nI was still charged the $90 for a horrible job. Carrie was extremely rude and unprofessional and did not address the huge bald spot on his head until I mentioned it. I previously really appreciated and loved bringing my dog here because the staff was understanding about his issues and worked with them and I was willing to pay more for that. I would understand her attitude if I had hid the fact that he had behavioral issues and didn’t give them a heads up but I did not do that. I told them since the beginning and I’ve been taking him there for almost two years. They knew he had issues and accepted to groom him then scolded me and were super rude to me when THEY messed up and gave him a huge bald spot. I would’ve also understood if when I arrived they told me that they accidentally gave him a bald spot because he wasn’t staying still but that also did not happen. Instead I had to bring it up and ask what happened and instead of apologizing, Carrie got super defensive and rude and simply said he was the issue. I’ve never had this happen before.\n\nAfter this horrible encounter I will no longer be bringing my dog here and won’t be recommending this place to anyone else.

Have been going to Tender Touch for more than 10 years. Over the years there have been many times when they did a horrible job and I have been compromising, thinking it can happen, it’s ok. Just gently told them that I didn’t like it and many times showed them a picture of how I wanted the style. Still they didn’t care. So the final nail on the coffin was when they charged $75 for a small dog and sent her home with the most horrible cut I’ve ever seen 😡 while talking with groomer, she proceeds to remind me what year it was as if that had to do anything with the terrible cut she did. Very unprofessional and vulgar. Then I spoke with the owner and not much of professionalism there either. Her words were, “ oh well, it is what it is “ 😱 again vulgar and ignorant. Won’t be wasting money there anymore. I am done with them. Look at the photo, her ears 😭

We take our cat in every so often when we find her nails getting too long and her getting stuck on the furniture. The ease of booking via phone or text is so convenient, with fast replies. Plenty of parking in the back, side, and front of the business. They do a great job and are so gentle with all pets. Fast and friendly service. We are happy customers, even though our cat hates us for taking her—she gets over it after a few treats and forced love.
