What pet parents say

I just stopped by to see the pupped they have for “adoption” and I wanted to touch one of the puppies when the lady with the blonde hair says “they dont have there shots you cant touch then unless you sanitize” i asked if she has sanitizer as she was about to take out the sanitizer she proceeds to say you cant touch them unless you are going to adopt them… like what? Make it make sense. Anyways - this is all a scam and TERRIBLE customer service. If I could give a 0 star, I would.\n\nSINCE IT DOES NOT LET ME Respond back to you on your response. Let me edit my initial review here.\nATTACHED is a screenshot proof saying welcome to stop by you.\n\nYour response says a lot more about your professionalism than my review ever could. If your policy is “appointment only” and “no touching,” that should be communicated clearly and respectfully not delivered with hostility after someone walks in. Telling a potential adopter not to come back and speaking to people with that level of attitude is not “caring for animals,” it’s just poor customer service. There is a way to enforce rules without being rude, and you chose not to.\n\nI also was not there to “play with puppies” or take pictures. I was showing family on the phone so we could decide on the right puppy, which is a NORMAL part of the adoption process. Rewriting the situation to make me look like I was there for entertainment is inaccurate and misleading.\n\nIf you don’t want public interaction, then operate privately and stop blaming visitors for not knowing policies that were never explained.\n\nDefinitely will be reporting this as well to B.B.B\n\nDeleting your response to my initial review just proves my points. Your response to me initially I have screenshot proofs. No need to delete.

Horrible service. Charged $1500 for puppies. My puppy was so sick of parvo and the first thing owner said when we took the puppy back was about a negative review left about her not about the puppy. Then looked at the puppy and said “oh they look good”. Puppy was dying! So dumb. When our puppy was in her care to help owner Melissa kept pushing other puppies we could get. Like what?? This isn’t a pair of shoes we can just replace. When the puppy passed we had to reach out and check in and she said our puppy “can still make it” so we said please just keep trying and she said oh you misunderstood the puppy had passed. Nowhere in her message did she say that. Her excuse was she was using voice to text. If you’re telling someone their puppy passed you make sure that is delivered sensitively! Such an emotionally traumatizing experience. It’s a shame because these dogs all deserve to be rescued.

I had been looking for a cocker spaniel puppy but wanted the perfect one for years. I just so happen to run across their rescue and saw they had just posted a description with no photo! I place an inquiry and went to bed as it was late, the next morning Melissa her self texted me a photo and he was perfect! I live over an hour and a half away and it was close to opening of the store. She held me until I could get there to interview me knowing he would be gone fast! My family rushed there and we absolutely fell in love. He was not able to come home until the next day, but the payment process and paperwork was so easy! He had a vet appointment the next day and Mellisa was very communicative on when to pick him up! Vet records arrived a few days later and was missing some vaccines so I was worried as we are nearing traveling for Thanksgiving! Mellisa eased my nerves and said vaccines were done and gave me the proper email to get a hold of for records! Took two days but communication was there and records came! There was a LOT of puppies in one small place so the smell is a little rough when you first walk in however the puppies were happy and friendly and Melissa is excited to show you and it is very genuine. I read many reviews on Melissa miss breeding dogs however it is a rescue and she can only call it how she sees it! I believe a lot of the negative comments are people misinformed or uneducated that she’s not a breeder she’s a rescue. I would definitely recommend stopping in or following her social media! I got my dream pup and you can too! ❤️

Clearly from reading these reviews I’m not alone here. I think this org needs to be reported to the Better Business bureau. Giving 2 stars because I love my dog. However, they charge you twice: Venmo them 500 personally and 1000 to the business with no transparency why. They ask minimal questions and gave us our dog and sent us on our way with next to no vetting process.\n\nThey give you a voucher to get your dog neutered/spayed. Upon requesting reimbursement for this voucher, Melissa acted like I was crazy for following up about it and said they’d pay me “when there is money.” She said because she’s a non profit there’s not always money… yet on guidestar.org the last non profit filing is in 2021. I’m skeptical they have 501c3 status. She continued to shame me for asking for the voucher in the first place citing all the dogs in need. See screenshot.\n\nJust a bad operation and untrustworthy people running this place.

My review is for the cuddle session. If you can get over the smell right when you walk in and the idea that the pups have been walking around in their own and other dogs' urine, then the experience won't be too bad. There's hand sanitizer available as well. You first pay a small fee to interact with the dogs. I feel like they need more human contact time rather than people wanting a cuddle time with the dogs. Majority were desperately seeking attention and I do hope they get adopted soon. From what I've read from the other comments, yeah the adoption fee is kinda high, but keep in mind that that covers their vet bills and bringing the dogs in from other states takes up a ton of resources. I would adopt from this rescue one day and I do hope that the adoption process is smooth. The dogs could use more baths and social time with people/staff and especially the place getting the floors cleaned. The dogs had beds and crates, but no pee pads. Many of the dogs are very friendly and deserve a chance. The idea for a cuddle time is nice though and getting swarmed by a bunch of dogs is cute and a dream come true, but I do feel that there is too many dogs in a small space and when it's not outdoors where there is better circulation and air flow.
