I brought my dog in yesterday for a simple nail trim as we are currently looking for a new groomer and thought this would be a good way to see if it was a fit. Unfortunately, five of his nails were cut way too short, and one is now split. I’m very concerned about the risk of infection and the discomfort this has caused him.\n\nHe was clearly extremely anxious from the start, and instead of using praise or treats to help him feel more comfortable, he was simply restrained firmly throughout the process. For a nervous dog, that approach only makes the grooming experiences worse.

I had previously taken my dog to Petco(in the El Cerrito Plaza) to get her nails trimmed and to my horror months later, they had missed one of her nails, and it was so long and curled that it was almost about to pierce into her paw pad.\n\nSo I urgently was trying to find a place to take her last minute, and I lucked out and was able to get an appointment here two hours later from when I called.\n\nThey did a great job on her nails, and they were very quick as well. I was so grateful that they took care of the bad nail that was almost cutting into her!\n\nI would definitely come back here again.

FANTASTIC job doing our old and injured greyhound's nails. "Just" nails, but there was a lot that could have gone wrong due to her issues standing - and the fact that it went smoothly was due to their awareness, effort and understanding - that's worth writing a review, something I do exceedingly rarely.\n\nThe guy doing her nails came out to the sidewalk to make it easier. He was GOOD... gentle, fast, accurate and thorough. Speed mattered since getting her back home and off her legs was critical.\n\nAnother staff came out to help me support Sophie. Kudos to her for seeing that she could help and doing so. That helped it go smoothly and quickly.\n\nThen there was the whole mess with forgetting my wallet and trying to use an app to pay while holding Sophie and being so worried about her hurting. Coco (I think her name was, I think the owner?) had come out to collect payment - again so I didn't have to come in with Sophie. She was patient, but she was also kind regarding how stressed I was, trying to hold Sophie up while getting the payment app working on my new phone.\n\nAnyhow, definitely rates 5 stars for making it work out well.

My dog looks fantastic! People that work there are very sweet. Rates are comparable to other grooming places. Oh oh, 2 days later we noticed our dog's ears were scabbed from the razor cuts-they shaved him way too close. I took him back to show them but they wouldn't admit they did it.
