A Pet Lover’s Dream on Bainbridge\n\nWhile exploring Bainbridge Island today I came across Z Bones Pet Mercantile, and it’s exactly the kind of locally owned pet shop you hope to find!\n\nSimilar to the Seattle Mudbay, The store is absolutely adorable and packed with everything a pet parent could want—leashes, collars, toys, high-quality pet food, and a great selection of fresh and locally sourced options. You can immediately tell this place is thoughtfully curated rather than just stocked with generic big-box items.\n\nThe highlight for me was finding a leash for my corgi that i’ve been hunting for online for months that had been discontinued everywhere else. Somehow they had it, and it felt like striking gold.\n\nShops like this are why I always try to explore local businesses when visiting a new place. This place clearly cares about the quality of the products they carry and the experience they create for pet owners.\n\nIf you’re on Bainbridge Island and have a furry companion at home, this place is absolutely worth a stop.

Lovely store with a great selection of toys, treats, and everything you can think of for happy, healthy pets! Katia the owner is so sweet and helpful. Highly recommend checking out Z Bones!

*UPDATED review because I misheard the conversation and thought it was a mean comment about a dog - was in fact about a dog abuser so I think we are actually on the same page. I apologize for my knee jerk reaction. Have heard awful things about dogs like mine and assumed the worst when I shouldn’t have!!!*\n\nStore was clean and well organized and had a variety of high quality toys, treats and dog foods. They care enough about dogs to clarify when someone like me gets overly pissy online so go check ‘em out!

I love Z Bones. The best part of some weekends is booking a 2pm self dog-wash and at 1pm head to the mud bowl we call Strawberry Hill Dog Park. The Self-Wash comes with use of a dog bath, shampoo, conditioner, brushes and scrubbers, towels a rubber aprons (so just the dog gets a bath) and a commercial drier which my dog tolerates but frankly hates. Such a cute little shop, we were visiting from Minnesota and always like to bring fun treats and toys back for our dogs. The owner was very friendly and their prices were great for a locally owned shop!
