I've been a resident at Amli535 for around 3-4 years, lived in 2 separate units before and after the renovations and it is arguably one of the best apartment complexes I have lived in. The construction is solid, the units are nice, the renovations brought actual practical value, and the bang for your buck is reasonable as far as Seattle goes. I say this with an attempt to move out after my my first unit went up for renovations and I just couldn't find something that didn't have a glaringly red flag in one way or another, especially since not EVERYONE is on that tech salary.\n\nAnother huge callout is the staff. There is an onsite maintenance team, the leasing office is accessible and easy to reach and Jon Hart, who is the Community Experience Manager not only goes above and beyond, but is also a genuine pleasure to chat with. In my one issue during my residence at Amli, he has been beyond helpful and resolved my issue with such ease that we ended up talking casually for an extra hour. He is genuinely invested in making sure people like being here as he also lived in one of the same units as I did and we chatted at length about the good and bad of apartment living. Additional call out to Casey who is always a pleasure to see and interact with in and out of the office.\n\nYou know its a solid company when the same people who work in the leasing office live in the same building as you. It has its drawbacks, but as far as apartments go, they are the same as anywhere else. But the gyms are great, the 2 rooftops and solarium are super nice, the sauna is an unexpected benefit, and the garages have more space per spot than most complexes out here. The price is as expected for Seattle and arguably you get peace of mind and then some for it. Other residents are polite if not sociable and easy going and the location is insanely convenient. The staff are reliable and the maintenance crews work super fast. Will probably be here as long as I'm in Seattle.

The leasing team and maintenance team are excellent and make 535 a nice place to live. There are relatively few issues and they work quickly to help resolve the ones that do pop up. Jason and Isai worked hard to resolve an issue with the washing machine in my unit in a timely fashion, and I really appreciated them going the extra mile to do so.

Potential tenants beware!! None of the Amli buildings in Seattle or Bellevue have AC! Moved here from out of state with my job, this should have been disclosed. Shame on Amli! My apartment is 77 degrees on this 74 degree partly cloudy day….. one small window and a patio door is not cooling it down. Im stuck here for the next 12 months…

Lola, Renato, and Casey were absolutely amazing to work with. They were so kind, helpful, and accommodating every step of the way. They made the process easy, answered all of my questions, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable with my decision. Could not recommend them more!

Although there has been an unpleasant experience, I appreciate the management group reaching out fast and working with me to resolve this issue. I haven't been smelling anything after, and their attitude makes me feel that my concern is respected and handled properly.\nEvery place has its problems, and what's important to me is how they can be resolved. So far this place have been very good on it.\n————————\nThe apartment itself is nice, however, one of its biggest attractions - non-smoking lifestyle, is clearly not respected enough.\nI have only moved in for less than a month, and have already caught significant marijuana and cigarette smell in the elevator three times. I have reported to the management group about the concern, but it was described to me as this is bearable and I should reach out again if I sense something inside my room.\nAlthough I understand that I can just hold my breath in the elevator and run away after the door is open, do keep in mind that this is clearly against the management rule (all common areas are supposed to be strictly smoke-free). Not only does it encourage such behaviors, but also, SMOKES DON'T JUST DISAPPEAR, they will spread out! Even if the odor can be insignificant, people like me who are allergic can have very significant health issues even with short exposure.\nIt gets worse when I started smelling cigarettes in my bathroom and living room. I second guessed myself first, but my respiratory reacts so strongly that the health concern is even brought up by several of my colleagues.\nI am contacting the office for further discussions, but at the same time, a reminder to everyone - since I've had neighbors who were like "you shouldn't smell it, we can't even smell it" - cigarette smokes can spread very far, does not get fully blocked by doors or anything like that, and if you smoke in a non-smoking community - you could literally be killing someone.
