It took me 6 months to find a groomer in Chicago who would hand strip my Airedale. This was her first time at the groomer, since I used to strip her myself. The staff at Ravenswoof was excellent, and carefully stripped her completely. By the end of the day, my girl was best friends with Amanda and a very happy dog. I will definitely bring her back if I need to and would highly recommend them.

Ravenswoof is great. One of my dogs can be reactive and they take great care of him and keep him with his brother (his emotional support dog 🤣). Both dogs leave looking and smelling great. We really like our groomer Sandy who has been working with us for almost two years now. She does a great job communicating. Pic is of our freshly groomed pups.

My regular groomer, Yesenia, has always been amazing and consistently did an exceptional job with my two dogs. For this last service on Saturday, I specifically booked with her and received confirmation from Ravenswoof.\n\nMy husband dropped the dogs off at 11:45 AM, and they were not ready until 7:00 PM. At pickup, he was informed that our regular groomer, Yesenia, was no longer with Ravenswoof. We were never notified of this prior to the appointment. As clients, we book with a specific groomer for a reason, and we should have been alerted ahead of time that she was no longer there so we could make an informed decision. We don’t know how other groomers work, and that transparency is important.\n\nWe were also told there had been a call-off and that the salon was understaffed, which is completely understandable. However, if you are aware that you are understaffed, it would have been appreciated to receive a call to reschedule confirmed appointments. Leaving dogs there for over seven hours, only to then rush their grooming, is not acceptable.\n\nAdditionally, I was charged a dematting fee, yet my dogs were not dematted — they were fully shaved down. I understand that one of my dogs was matted and may have needed to be taken shorter, but there was no effort to preserve his poodle look or provide a thoughtful cut. The overall grooming result was extremely disappointing and not at all what we have previously experienced.\n\nWe trusted your team based on our past experiences, and unfortunately this visit did not meet the standard we have come to expect. I would appreciate a response addressing the lack of communication regarding our groomer, the excessive wait time, and the dematting charge. (I would post a picture for reference but I’m embarrassed at how my dogs currently look)

Ravenswoof has been great, we come here specifically for Melanie. We’ve been with her for 3 years and followed her here because she’s amazing. She’s so patient and caring with our Lola, who doesn’t enjoy grooming, and she always does a consistently great job. The shop is clean with friendly staff, and even though it’s out of our way, it’s absolutely worth it. Highly recommend Ravenswoof and Melanie!
