Will did a fantastic job grooming my adorable Pomeranian, Lavender! They even have a cozy little espresso bar and delight you with a cute gift bag and a Polaroid photo of your pup after each grooming session. Lavender was so excited about her surprise gift! It's clear they treat both dogs and owners with genuine attention, care, and kindness. I honestly can't recommend this place enough! Plus, their prices are really reasonable, especially considering their downtown Chicago location. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

I am leaving a mixed review due to issues with my dogs first and only grooming with Dashing Dog. When I scheduled the grooming it was for first thing in the morning. Because I was walking my dog to the salon we left before her breakfast but I had confirmed with the person who scheduled the appt that during the grooming they could give my dog her dry kibble as treats (this is what I always do at other salons as she has a very sensitive stomach and because she is a doodle grooming can take several hours and she can become anxious but is very food motivated). When I arrived, the groomers looked at me like I was crazy and being unreasonable and said they could not accommodate this request. Fine. I shared several photos of doodle cuts that I wanted for my dog’s face shaping because I knew the body would need to be shaved. I wanted to ensure that the face would have the teddy bear shape for her to look cute while the rest of the hair grew out. When leaving the salon I was told I would get a text when there was 20 minutes remaining of my dog’s grooming so I could head over. The text I received was when my dog was ready to be picked up, which was frustrating given it was a 40 minute walk back to the salon.\n\nWhen I arrived I was surprised to see how short my dog’s facial hair had been cut. I took a doodle in to the groomer and brought a poodle home. Upon arriving home I noticed that the hair around the mouth was not shaped evenly. There were jagged uneven cuts on both sides and also stray sections that appeared to not have been cut. I was told that certain groomers do “tighter” cuts, which I get- everyone has their style. But this was not what we discussed and I even was reassured that my groomer was experienced with doodles. But this groomer did not give my dog a cut that resembled any type of doodle.\n\nI will say that the manager Andrea was very responsive when I reached out to express my disappointment. She tried to accommodate me by offering to correct the cut but I was not able to return within the necessary time window. And although I was offered a discount on the next groomer I will definitely not be returning to Dashing Dog. I would expect salons to attempt to meet the requests of their clients and if they can’t because of issues (matting, etc.) it should be flagged (this was not the issue in my case). If a groomer has a specific style or cut and it doesn’t align with the breed, they need to adjust their style or have a different groomer do the cut.\n\nI share this review because I know it can be difficult to find groomers that are skilled with doodle cuts and this has always been a stressor for me. Unfortunately I didn’t find a good match for my pup and will continue the search for another doodle groomer. Luckily my dog looks adorable no matter what, but still an extremely frustrating experience. Sharing photos of her before and after to show the lack of shaping skills.

I started taking my dog Theo to Dashing Dog after his groomer (Will) relocated to this location! Will has been grooming Theo since he was a puppy and knew we had to follow him there. He does a great job with the style each time and showing care/affection to Theo (who tends to be a bit nervous before his appointment). Theo loves the toy he receives after every visit and I absolutely love receiving his printed picture each time. Definitely recommend both Dashing Dog & Will!

My second time there and I told them I was leaving a review before the automated text. I have a 10 month half husky half bulldog and Will has now taken care of him for a nail appointment and now a bathing and blow dry.\n\nI’ve been having trouble with the drying bit at home and Will not only pays attention but manages to bond with a dog through discomfort. If that’s not resounding service idk what is!\n\nHe looks fabulous too!

This was my first time going here and I will definitely be coming back for my dog’s future grooming appointments. Environment is really nice! There’s a cute sitting area, complimentary coffee and drinks, toys you can purchase for your dog! My pet groomer was Taylor and she was really sweet and handled my dog with good care. I like that you can see where they groom your dogs through clear glass! Definitely recommend coming here. Prices were great too. I did a full grooming service for a small dog that was about $85.00 + gratuity. Plus they also gave my dog a cute little scarf, blind box toy, and a cute Polaroid!
