animal cruelty these are just some of the pictures i was able to capture , not only are the cages to tiny for every single animal there but the conditions that they are in are extremely harsh as you can see in the snake picture the snake is LITERALLY in its water bowl because it’s to hot and the hamsters environment is terrible to hamsters are known to be in thick burrowing chips they don’t even have a centimeter of it in there cage when they need at least 6 inches bare minimum the cages are already terrible the least they can do is add things to make the animals time enjoyable somewhat i asked the worker about it she basically said nothin at all clearly they need to hire better workers or be put out of business because the circumstances these animals are in have them indangered.

I can’t say enough amazing things about Alicia - groomer at Petco! My sweet dog Cocoa got sprayed by a skunk (every pet parent’s nightmare 😅), and I brought her in hoping for the best. Alicia went above and beyond — not only did Cocoa come out smelling incredible like cinnamon, but the skunk smell never came back even days later!\n\nAlicia was kind, patient, and clearly cared about making Cocoa feel comfortable throughout the entire process. She even helped me pick out the right size pumpkin costume, so now Cocoa is officially my little pumpkin spice latte. 🎃☕🐶\n\nI’m beyond grateful for Alicia’s hard work, attention to detail, and positive energy. She truly turned a stinky situation into a spa day success. If you’re looking for someone who treats your pet like family — Alicia is the one to see!

I’ve been a loyal customer, bringing my Pomeranian to this location for grooming for four years, and he has never bitten anyone. Today, February 12th, I brought him for a routine grooming. At 3:30 PM, I received a call saying the grooming stopped because my dog allegedly tried to bite.\n\nWhen I arrived, the first manager was very helpful but said she didn’t know how to handle the situation and needed to consult a higher manager. Meanwhile, Alicia Ramos, the grooming manager, told me I had to pay, despite the service being incomplete. I calmly explained that I wasn’t paying for partial service—my dog still needed a haircut, and I would have to take him elsewhere.\n\nAlicia Ramos then threatened that if I didn’t pay, she would keep my dog overnight. To prove a point, she put my dog back on the table. He was calm until they began tugging on his fur, trying to provoke a reaction. He tried to get away, but he never bit her. They made me watch my dog in distress, and I became so emotional that I broke down in tears.\n\nEven after the other manager called and got approval from a higher manager to release my dog, Alicia Ramos still refused. She held onto my dog for 30 minutes, despite the direct instruction, and the entire situation dragged on as they repeatedly called her.\n\nPetco stands for compassionate, patient care for pets, and this employee’s behavior is completely out of line with those values. Grooming should never be about rushing or maximizing profit; it should be about gentle, patient care. If Petco truly cared, they would not threaten to keep a pet overnight. After four years of consistent, safe visits, the only explanation I can think of is that they caused him pain.\n\nWhen I asked for Alicia’s name to escalate, she refused. When I asked another Petco associate, Alicia said I was causing a scene and told me to leave. All I wanted was to document her name to escalate this properly.\n\nThis behavior does not align with Petco’s core values. I expect a formal review and a direct response on how you will ensure this never happens again.\n\nI’ve already contacted Petco corporate. This is their response so far: Thank you for sharing this information with us. We've forwarded it to our internal team for further handling. Rest assured, we take such concerns seriously and appreciate you for bringing this to our attention.

I took my dog to Petco for a nail clipping because I had went to another location before and they did a fantastic job. Had a totally different experience at this location. When I arrived and approached the grooming desk, a groomer opened the door and appeared annoyed and told me immediately that it would be a 15-20 minute wait; not “hello, how can we help you?” or any other kind of greeting. When it was our turn the groomer that met my dog seemed nice enough. She took him back and I watched from the window. She didn’t seem to have a lot of experience and often seemed impatient and frustrated. I also saw her yell at another groomer. My dog was visibly anxious and instead of trying to soothe him, she became more forceful trying to clip his nails. When she was done she said that he would no longer be welcomed back because he tried to bite her. I watched the entire time and he did not. I understand that groomer safety is of utmost importance but when you have my dog’s head locked in, there’s a visibly frustrating environment, and lack of skill or care, it makes for an unhealthy interaction. Nevertheless, even if we were invited back I wouldn’t return.

There is a perfect gentleman that works in the aquatic section and he's very helpful. He gave me useful pointers on plants and animals for my tank. Everyone I met was lovely. I forgot something in the store after the store had closed and the lovely manager lady was kind enough to help me with the purchase even though she didn't have to.
