What pet parents say

A great place and very close to my home.\n\nThis veterinary place has: very friendly employees, they are respectful, they are knowledgeable, very helpful and most important straightforward.\nWhat is also important to me is cleanliness and the usual pet odors. This place is very clean and has ZERO off putting odors. Yes, your dog will sniff around… Aren’t they all.\n\nThe exams are very thorough, even the Vet-Techs are all hands on, take very detailed notes, do take their time with you and suggesting good solutions.\n\nThe wait time, well it’s a 24hrs place, unless you have an appointment you will have to wait. This is a popular place in Kendall. Pet parents will understand, they want their best for their little babies. Our furry friends... This place is easy to get to, with ample parking spaces.\n\nEmergencies have priority and, if there are more people already waiting, then you will spend some time there. CALL AHEAD! Make an appointment! If you have an emergency please call.\n\nThere are also other VCA places around in fairly close proximity and, if “the shit really hits the fan” and your pet is super sick, or got hit by a car, god forbid, there is always VEG on Dixi Highway/Pincrest and one near the Design District. They are also really good places for big emergencies.\n\nThe sitting area is very large, the exam rooms are a bit on the smaller side and clearly the small benches that are available to sit on barely hold two people; if. They should invest in BETTER seating options in their rooms.\n\nThe bench at the front desk is ok. A fridge with water is available. Go on the VCA website and get your coupon for a free “first time” exam. Saves you money. The prices are as always a bit steep. It starts at $95 for a basic exam and warm handshake. $150 and change, without appointment. It can only go up from there. Better get yourself a good pet insurance. MetLife is reasonable priced and pretty good. Just to let you know…\n\nGood luck!

Today I went with my princesita because she has been getting worse. It was time for her to be in peace. I had never been to this clinic and a friend recommended it. They were so understanding and gentle to make the process of euthanasia less painful. I am so thankful to the staff and doctor that help me in this moment. The pics are before and after the process

When our cat Chester suddenly stopped eating after the loss of our older cat, we feared he was grieving. But within just a few days, he became jaundiced and dropped 5 pounds. We rushed him to an emergency vet who quoted us $6,000 before even diagnosing the issue. Feeling overwhelmed and unsure, we left and brought Chester to VCA Knowles — and I’m so glad we did.\n\nFrom the moment we arrived, the team at VCA Knowles treated Chester with compassion and urgency. They kept us informed every step of the way and quickly discovered he had ingested plastic, which had severely impacted his liver. It was a terrifying situation, but their care and transparency gave us hope.\n\nChester is still in their care, and we’re praying for his recovery. While it’s been a costly ordeal, it’s nowhere near the initial quote we received elsewhere — and the quality of care has been exceptional. I’m incredibly grateful to the staff at VCA Knowles for their dedication and kindness during such a difficult time. Dr. Perez & Dr. Riviera were both very empathetic and great.\n\nI am praying for his recovery, he means so much to me and he is only 6 years old.\n\nUpdated 12/23/25 - Chester is doing amazing thanks to the staff and Vets at Knowles. He is doing so well that he is Mr. February in "Paw Prints" 2026 Calander. I have added the pics for everyone to see. My Chester is Back to his Handsome loving self.\nThank you, Knowles

I want to express my deepest gratitude to the entire staff at VCA Knowles Snapper Animal Hospital for saving our beloved dog Tommy’s life. He swallowed a nickel, and we went through one of the scariest moments we’ve ever faced. From the very first moment, everyone was incredibly attentive, kind, and professional.\n\nA very special thank you to Dr. Marina Riera, who was beyond honest, compassionate, and truly vocational in every step of the process. Words are not enough to describe our appreciation. For those of us who love our pets, we know how heartbreaking and stressful situations like this can be, but this amazing team gave us hope and peace of mind.\n\nToday, after so much fear and uncertainty, Tommy is back to eating, playing, and being his happy self again. ❤️ Thank you, Dr. Marina, and thank you to the entire VCA Knowles Snapper team. We will always come back here, and we hope our story inspires others to trust this wonderful hospital and its outstanding staff. 🫂

Dr Perez is nothing but amazing and helpful. My puppy Reese got neutered with her and some things came up but she was there and helped with everything. He’s currently in their care and she never fails to call me and update me everyday about him. I usually hate when he’s away from me and I get the worst anxiety but they make me feel and know he’s safe! Also the technicians are incredible. I don’t remember her name but she has curly hair. She’s a sweetheart! Some staff were kind of rude but everybody else was amazing!\n\nThank you Dr Perez!!
