We took our Cavapoo, Candace (yes, she shares my name, but the breeder named her, not us 😜), to the UES location since the UWS location is currently closed, and I’m so glad we did. This was hands down the best grooming she’s ever had. Jesus was incredible: he communicated with us throughout the entire session to make sure we got exactly what we wanted and that Candace was happy and comfortable.\n\nThe entire team was warm, helpful, and so attentive. The space was spotless and well-maintained, and the level of care and support was above and beyond. We’re now happily conflicted because even though we live on the UWS, we’ll be making the trip back to the UES just to keep coming here.\n\nFor a long time, we used Biscuits and Bath, but we switched to D is for Doggy over a year ago (mainly due to the 24/7 surveillance), and it has been a game-changer. The service here is not only more affordable, it’s a far better experience for our pup. She used to be hesitant and nervous going into the other facility, but now she gets genuinely excited to go into D is for Doggy every single time. Being able to watch her on video 24/7 also eases so much of our anxiety and gives us real peace of mind. We couldn’t be happier with the switch and are so glad we found them. 10/10 ✅

If you are considering coming here for grooming services, DO NOT. Last week, I brought my two dogs here for the first time. After the appointment, my younger dog’s back was very sensitive. Anytime he was touched there, he would wince. The following day, he started itching, and we started to feel bumps on his back. Neither of our dogs has EVER had this problem. We were so worried, and he was so uncomfortable from the irritation that we took him to the vet. The vet gave us antibiotics and a medicinal shampoo for him and informed us that this was a bacterial skin infection.\n\nThe first red flag was that the groomer who took them was not very friendly with the dogs. Previous groomers we’ve had interact with them and at least say hi or something when we first arrive to make them feel more comfortable. Even going to the vet feels more inviting. While booking, we made sure to say it was my youngest one's first time in hopes they’d be more gentle.\n\nAfter saying bye to the dogs, we were informed that they would call us once they were ready, but while waiting, we started to feel like it was taking a long time. We called them for an update, and the lady on the phone said, “They haven’t told you?” The worst, most ominous thing to hear when leaving your dogs in a new place! Our hearts sank, fearing the worst, and then she told us that they had finished and our dogs were waiting. Who knows how long they were sitting there waiting while we were right across the street waiting for the phone call. When we saw them, they looked so sad and upset! I have never seen them look like that. My older dog has been groomed multiple times elsewhere and always leaves with a huge smile full of energy, but he was not pleased. My younger dog, a mini aussie, who had never been groomed before, had the saddest little face when we first saw them. They did not look happy at all, and all energy was sucked out of them.

Absolutely love d is for doggy! The staff are always so happy to see my pup and they take such good care of him. I love that they have cameras so you can check in on your fur baby throughout the day! Definitely recommend!

I can't say enough great things about D is for Doggy! From the moment we walked in, I knew my little pup was in good hands. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly love dogs. My pup, Kobe, is always so excited to go, and it's obvious he has the best time playing with the other dogs and getting all the attention from the caregivers.\n\nWhat really sets this place apart is how attentive they are to each dog's needs. Whether it's making sure my dog gets enough playtime or giving him a quiet space to rest when needed, they go above and beyond to keep every dog happy and comfortable. They even send me updates and pictures throughout the day, which totally puts my mind at ease. I love the option of the live webcam to drop in and watch and see how much fun he is having with his friends.\n\nThe facility itself is clean, safe, and spacious, with plenty of room for the dogs to run around and play. An extra bonus was that D is for Doggy allowed us to host Kobe's first birthday there! It made his day even more special.\n\nOverall, D is for Doggy, has been a game changer for me and my pup. It's comforting to know that he's not only being well cared for but also having a blast while I'm at work. The only negative, is that my pup loves this place so much, I cannot walk him around the area during after-hours because he will pull on the leash with such determination and sit at the front door for several minutes, refusing to move in hopes he can go back in and play! So we try to avoid the block unless he's going to daycare so he doesn't get too heartbroken when they are closed for the night. Highly recommend this place to any dog owner!
