Temple Of Groom Pet Grooming

I picked this place off of good reviews but unfortunately left unhappy and disappointed. I have two long hair malamutes and the girl that groomed my male did a good job. I don’t know the name of the girl that groomed my female but she had short hair. She absolutely butchered her rear and shaved her inner thighs to the skin. Directions were to scoop out the extra hair on her inner thighs and do a loose outline trim. Also provided a picture. After getting home and checking her over more closely I also noticed her ears were still dirty. Out of her 16 years of life I’ve used the same directions and never had a groomer do this. The problem isn’t just that she shaved her to the skin, it’s that it’s choppy and it looks like someone took kitchen scissors to it. Her front legs are also cut the same length instead of a nice flow. I don’t understand how a professional could look at this and think it’s acceptable and not take accountability for it and try to lie and say I told her to shave it. I don’t believe this was a miscommunication on my part and even if it was, there’s no excuse for a butchered cut. I told the groomer I’m not sure how they handle these situations 3 separate times to be met with silence before she finally asked if I wanted the owner. The owner offered a refund on half the groom which I took, but she tried to excuse it by saying hair grows back, which it does, but on a double coated dog it will grow back damaged and will get tangled and matted easier. I’m glad the owner remedied the situation but after sitting on it for a week I’m still upset about the lack of accountability. I’m not sure if this was due to inexperience or lack of care, but I would have returned to this shop again under a different groomer if I felt this wouldn’t happen again.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. I made an appointment with this groomer for my two dogs. I cancelled my appointment via email 3 days in advance (they required 24 hours in advance in order to avoid $40 per pet cancellation fee). On the day of the appointment, they called asking when I would be arriving and I told them I had cancelled my appointment earlier that week. They confirmed the email address I sent it to but claimed they did not receive it and proceeded to charge me the $80 cancellation fee anyway. I spoke to a Chris who asked for proof of the email so I took a screenshot of the one I sent and forwarded via text to the number he confirmed was correct twice on the phone. They continued to incessantly argue that they did not "receive" the email so they were charging the cancellation fee. Ironically, the screenshot was returned as invalid phone number. Basically stole $80 from me.

I adopted a chihuahua mixed breed. “Little” is anxious about being taken from me and Chris shows so much tenderness to her. I’m disabled so Chris comes to my car to get her and carries her out to me when I pick her up. I highly recommend this business.
